You could say USANA’s founder, Dr. Myron Wentz, is obsessed with cells. He’s an internationally recognized microbiologist, immunologist, and pioneer in the development of human cell culture technology and infectious disease diagnoses.
In 1974, Dr. Wentz founded Gull Laboratories, where he worked with human cell cultures and kept them healthy. All it takes, he realized, is providing them with essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in the right forms, in the right balance. Seems simple, right?

That was the birth of USANA.”
Dr. Wentz had the scientific knowledge to create the formulas for the nutritional products that launched USANA in 1992. But he couldn’t create and manufacture the products alone. Today, USANA has a research and development team and in-house manufacturing facilities to ensure his quality standards continue to be met as we make new products based on the latest scientific advancements in nutrition.
