Finding out I was pregnant… felt like the worst day of my life.

And I say this gently, because I know so many women are praying for those two lines 🤍

I remember coming home from the pharmacy after missing my period for a few days…
holding that test in my hand, sitting in the bathroom, just staring at it.

When the lines showed up, I didn’t feel joy.
I felt my chest tighten.
I don’t even remember if I told my husband right away…
I think I just sat there, trying to process what I was feeling.
Because it wasn’t about not wanting a baby.
It was everything from my previous births rushing back.

Two C-sections I never healed from.
Fear I never processed.
I cried. I resisted.
I even said, “I don’t want to keep the baby.”
Not because of my baby…
but because I was terrified of going through that pain again.

This is what unresolved birth trauma can do.
It doesn’t stay in the past, it follows you.

Healing matters… not just for birth, but for how you experience pregnancy and motherhood too.

Sure - birth preparation (or even doula support!) ain't for everyone! And hopefully NO ONE has convinced you of that 🤦🏽‍♀️

But for those that opt for either or both, evidently go on to have a more fulfilling and empowered birthing AND parenting experience ✨

For all moms, pregnant or not...Don’t turn preparation into pressure 🤍

I’ve seen moms attend classes, read everything twice, replay every video, practice nonstop… and somehow end up feeling more overwhelmed than confident 😅

That’s usually when preparation turns into perfectionism .. and birth was never meant to be something you “get right!”

The information you learn in my Hypnobirthing, breastfeeding or water birth classes... Isn’t there to be memorized or mastered. It’s there to support you, to help you understand your body, and to give you the confidence to make decisions that feel right for you and your baby ✨

Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t.
You don’t need to know everything ... you just need to trust yourself that you will 🥰

You know what’s been helping me lately…
Finding my new normal.

Not waiting for things to go back to how they were.
Not clinging to what felt familiar before everything shifted.

Because the truth is…
when you keep holding onto your old normal
you end up feeling more lost, more unsettled, more overwhelmed.

So instead…
I started asking myself:
What feels steady today?
Even if it’s small.
Even if it’s just… a quiet cup of coffee,
a slower morning,
a moment to breathe.
That becomes your anchor.

And this isn’t just for times of uncertainty…
This is motherhood too.

Because pregnancy changes your normal.
Birth changes your normal.
Motherhood rewrites it completely.
And if you keep trying to go back to who you were before…
you’ll feel like you’re constantly falling short.

But when you allow yourself to find your new rhythm…
to meet yourself where you are…
everything softens.
You feel more grounded.
More present.
More you… in this version of your life.

So if things feel off right now…
Don’t force your way back.
Find your new normal.
And let that be enough for today 🤍

We meet and talk about our worries and exhaustion, but also our dreams, hopes, and the parts of ourselves that sometimes get lost in the daily rhythm of caring for everyone else.
