Memory is more than what we remember. It is how we experience the world, connect with the people we love, and hold on to our sense of self.
At MYNA, we are proud to be co-sponsoring Khatar Sessions: Familiar Touch, an afternoon dedicated to exploring memory, dementia and care through the powerful lens of cinema and conversation.
As conversations around dementia and Alzheimer's continue to grow, so does the importance of listening to the voices of those living with these conditions.
Familiar Touch offers a rare perspective, telling the story through the eyes of the person living with dementia and reminding us that every diagnosis is, above all, a human story.
The afternoon will bring together family caregivers, nurses, care workers, physicians, researchers and members of the wider community for meaningful discussions around dementia, memory care and compassionate support.
We warmly invite our community to join us for this important event. Whether you are caring for a loved one, work in healthcare, or simply want to better understand the realities of living with dementia, we hope to see you there.
