For Day 6 of Speech Pathology Australia Week, Smart Moves Healthcare is proud to recognise ‘Possibility to Participate’ and the important role communication plays in helping people with disabilities participate in the world around them.

At Smart Moves Healthcare, our allied health supports including Speech Pathology focus on helping people with a lived experience of disability communicate in ways that work for them. This might mean developing speech and language skills, finding the right communication supports or building confidence to communicate in everyday situations.

If you're supporting someone who is finding communication difficult, wondering if Speech Pathology could help, or not sure where to start, we are always happy to have a conversation and see if we can help.

🧠 National Stroke Week

A stroke can change day-to-day life in many ways and having the right support makes a real difference to recovery.

Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists work together, and alongside the person, to help them regain skills, adapt to changes and stay as independent as possible.

OTs can help with everyday activities, cognition, equipment and home modifications. Physios focus on movement, strength, balance and mobility.

If you or someone you support is living with the effects of stroke, we're here to help.

To learn more about the signs of stroke and act F.A.S.T visit the Stroke Foundation or talk to your GP or healthcare professional about minimising the risk factors for stroke.
