Your skin rarely changes overnight. The signs show up gradually — and most people dismiss them. Here's what's worth paying attention to.
1. Persistent dullness, even when you're doing everything right. The cell renewal cycle is slowing down. Older, duller cells are sitting on the surface for longer. Often linked to sleep quality or hydration — not just your products.
2. Skin that feels dehydrated no matter how much moisturiser you use. This is a barrier problem, not a product problem. Moisture is escaping faster than it's being replaced. Adding more on top doesn't fix the underlying issue.
3. Sensitivity that's getting worse, not better. Products that used to be fine now irritate. This is one of the most commonly missed signals. Progressive sensitivity isn't normal — it means something has changed.
4. Breakouts in the same spot, repeatedly. Recurring breakouts — especially along the jawline or chin — often have a hormonal component that topical products alone won't resolve.
5. Skin that looks tired regardless of how much sleep you're getting. This is often structural — volume and collagen changes beneath the surface, not just a surface concern. Worth a proper assessment.
6. Slow healing — cuts, breakouts or redness that take longer to clear than they used to. Healing speed is one of the clearest indicators of how well skin is functioning underneath. Often tied to stress, nutrition, or a compromised barrier.
