At A Place Called Home, we believe no two people are the same - so their support shouldn’t be either.
Every individual has their own goals, interests, routines, strengths and challenges.
That’s why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether your goal is building confidence in the community, learning new skills, attending appointments, enjoying social activities or simply having someone alongside you who genuinely cares, your support is tailored around you.
As we continue to grow, my vision extends beyond providing support work.
We’re building a community where individuals and families can access the right support, from the right people, at the right time.
Because great support isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about listening, collaborating and empowering each person to live life their way.

💜💙 Building a community, not just a service. 💙💜

Today we attended the Adelaide Disability Expo, and I walked away with far more than brochures and business cards.

I had conversations with people living with disability, their families, advocates, support workers and service providers who are all working towards the same goal: helping people live meaningful, independent lives.

One conversation in particular really stayed with me.

A disability advocate spoke about the importance of building the right support team around each individual. Not expecting one person to fill every role, but recognising that every professional brings their own knowledge, experience and strengths.

A support worker shouldn’t have to be a counsellor.
A counsellor shouldn’t have to be a support coordinator.
A support coordinator shouldn’t have to be an occupational therapist.

When everyone works within their strengths and collaborates together, participants receive the best possible support.

That conversation perfectly reflected the vision behind A Place Called Home.

Right now, I’m one independent support worker.

But my dream has never been to do everything myself.

My dream is to build a trusted community of supports - a place where individuals and families know they’re connected with people who genuinely care and who are experienced in what they do.

Whether that’s support work, allied health, advocacy, plan management, community programs or other local services, I want A Place Called Home to become a place that helps people find the right support, at the right time, from the right people.

Because no one should have to navigate their journey alone.

Today reminded me that the strongest communities aren’t built by one person.

Hi, I’m Paige, founder of A Place Called Home.

What started as a dream has finally become a reality.

For many years, I have been passionate about supporting people living with disability and advocating for inclusion, independence and opportunity. Through both my professional experience and personal life, I have seen the challenges individuals and families face, but also the incredible strength, resilience and potential within our community.

Disability has touched my life in many ways, with family members living with both physical and intellectual disabilities. These experiences have shaped my understanding, compassion and commitment to helping others. They have taught me that a diagnosis should never define a person’s worth or potential.

As a mum of two, I understand how important it is to find support from someone you genuinely trust. Someone who sees the person, not just the diagnosis, and understands that support extends beyond the individual to the family members walking alongside them.

A Place Called Home has been built from the ground up on a foundation of passion, dedication and a genuine desire to make a difference.

My vision is to create more than just a support service. I hope to grow A Place Called Home into a community where people feel valued, supported and empowered to achieve their goals, while creating opportunities, meaningful connections and a true sense of belonging.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected and fulfilling life, regardless of their diagnosis or circumstances.

Our vision is simple: to create a welcoming environment where people feel valued, empowered and supported to achieve their goals, while providing support that extends beyond the individual and embraces the families who walk alongside them.
