What a wonderful way to finish at today’s Women’s Showcase Lunch hosted by the City of Marion.

It was great to connect with other women in business, hear their stories and support fellow local businesses within our community.

I was delighted to contribute a Women’s Wellness Hamper as a door prize for one lucky attendee. A huge thank you to .ly for generously supplying all of the supplements and wellness products included in the hamper, valued at approximately $350.

Congratulations to the lucky winner who was thrilled to take it home!

What do you do to support your health that also brings you joy? 💜

For me, it’s daily beach walks with my two furry companions, Nala and Zorro. 🐾

As a naturopath, I believe health is about more than food and supplements. It’s also about making time for the things that help us feel good.

My beach walks combine movement, fresh air, sunshine, connection with nature and time to switch off from a busy day. Walking barefoot on the sand (grounding) may help reduce stress, while the ocean’s negative ions have been linked to improved mood and wellbeing.

And let’s not forget the health benefits of dogs! Studies show dog owners tend to be more active, and Nala and Zorro certainly make sure I get outside every day.

Sometimes the best health habits are the ones you genuinely enjoy and look forward to.

I love this illustration of me and what I do. It captured me surprisingly well! 💜

From my love of nature, beach walks, butterflies and herbal medicine, through to my passion for helping women improve their health naturally, it reflects both who I am and the work I love doing every day.

As a Naturopath and Metabolic Balance Coach, I help women 40+ improve their health, balance hormones, reduce inflammation, increase energy and shift stubborn weight through Metabolic Balance Personalised Nutrition.

Did you know… menopause is a whole body experience?

We have oestrogen receptors all throughout the body — including the brain, gut, heart, bones, skin and bladder. No wonder some women find this transition such a challenge.

Interestingly, many of the most significant symptoms often occur in the 2 years leading up to menopause and the first year after the final period.

I see many women experiencing peri/menopause symptoms who simply want to feel like themselves again. The good news is there is actually a lot we can do to support women through this transition naturally and holistically.

I always try to keep up with the latest research and practitioner education, and last night I had the pleasure of learning more about menopause and the gut microbiome with the lovely Rebecca from Activated Probiotics.

New supplements including soy isoflavones combined with targeted probiotic support are also showing very promising results in studies for helping support symptoms including hot flushes, night sweats, mood, sleep and bone health.

So what actually happens in a naturopathic consult for fatigue? 🌿

Many women come to me feeling exhausted, foggy, overwhelmed and frustrated because they’ve been told everything is “normal” — yet they still feel flat every afternoon.

This is where a holistic naturopathic approach can help.

I take the time to truly listen to your health history, current concerns and what you would like to improve because symptoms rarely happen in isolation.

That overwhelming afternoon slump where you feel like you could literally fall asleep…

I’ve experienced it myself and I hear it from so many women who come to see me — especially from their 30s onwards.

Many women try to push through with more coffee, sugar or chocolate just to get through the day.

But ongoing fatigue is often your body trying to tell you something needs attention.

Possible underlying contributors can include:
• Nutritional deficiencies
• Stress and nervous system overload
• Hormonal changes
• Thyroid imbalances
• Blood sugar imbalance
• Poor sleep
• Gut health issues
• Not eating enough nourishing foods
