Radiology SA Radiology SA is an Adelaide based, radiologist owned practice, which was formed by a group of like-minded radiologists in 2005. Our ABN is 38 714 858 454.

Proudly South Australian and doctor-led, Radiology SA delivers high-quality medical imaging and nuclear medicine services through a network of 16 clinics across Adelaide. The Practice currently runs nine rooms in the metropolitan area, as well as supplying on-site radiology services to Darwin, Cairns and Broken Hill. Remote radiology reporting services are provided to Coober Pedy, utilising our su

Get to know Dr Andrew Goldfinch in the latest edition of Imaging Minds.

After completing his medical degree at The University of Adelaide and undertaking radiology training in South Australia, Andrew developed subspecialty interests in musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology and image-guided procedures. He is also a member of the Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group and holds a Staff Specialist position at Flinders Medical Centre.

For Andrew, radiology is about far more than reporting scans. His work includes procedures, patient consultations, multidisciplinary meetings and collaborating closely with colleagues to help guide patient care and treatment decisions.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys fitness, travelling and golf. He is also excited by the growing impact of AI in imaging and the role it will continue to play in shaping the future of radiology.

From advanced imaging to patient-centred care, Dr Bridgid Connolly brings a unique blend of expertise and compassion to her role as one of Radiology SA's dual-trained Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine/PET Specialists.

After completing fellowship training in Sydney, Bridgid returned to Adelaide and now works across Radiology SA and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include women’s imaging, paediatric imaging and oncology.

"I love the combination of problem-solving, innovative technology and patient care. Radiology lets me make a real impact on diagnosis and treatment every day."

Bridgid is passionate about combining technical expertise with compassionate care. She enjoys helping patients feel informed and reassured throughout their imaging journey, particularly when they're feeling uncertain about a test or procedure.

Looking to the future, Bridgid is excited by advances in PET imaging and the development of new tracers that are helping clinicians detect disease earlier and personalise treatment.

July is Sarcoma Awareness Month.

Sarcoma is a rare cancer that develops in bone and soft tissue.

Dr Saba Hatami, Radiology SA's Lead Radiologist for Bone and Soft Tissue Tumours and South Australia's lead radiologist in this field, shares insights into the role of imaging and biopsy in diagnosing sarcoma and guiding treatment.

Dr Hatami has been involved in South Australia's Bone and Soft Tissue Tumour Service for more than 10 years and leads the radiology specialty for the multidisciplinary bone and soft tissue tumour meeting at Flinders Medical Centre.

An important reminder: don't ignore a growing or unexplained lump. Early assessment and the right imaging can make a difference.
