Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and mother figures.

I have the privilege of supporting women through so many stages of motherhood.

From the woman with the quiet (and sometimes painful) longing to become a mother,
to the pregnant mother,
the new mother,
the deeply content mother,
the exhausted, burnt-out mother holding everything together,
to the proud grandmother watching generations grow.

Motherhood is one of life’s greatest gifts.
Beautiful, challenging, transformative, and deeply humbling. It stretches us to the edges of what we thought we were capable of, while teaching us a love like no other.

Today we celebrate you.

One of the most common things I hear in clinic?
“But my blood tests were normal
”

Yet you’re still exhausted, bloated, anxious, struggling with skin flare-ups, painful periods, headaches, low mood, or feeling like something just isn’t right.

This is where looking at optimal health markers can make a huge difference.

As a naturopath, I look at the bigger picture:
- Nutrient levels
- Hormones
- Gut health
- Stress & nervous system function
- Inflammation markers
- Patterns between symptoms and pathology

Because “normal” doesn’t always mean you’re thriving.

You deserve to feel heard, supported, and your symptoms properly investigated.

Reach out if you have any questions, I’d love to support you 💌

If only it was that simple. Unfortunately a probiotic alone is unlikely to fix your gut issues.

IBS symptoms often indicate gut imbalances, stress, diet triggers, and underlying dysfunction that needs a personalised and holistic approach.

This is your sign to stop guessing and start investigating with the support of a qualified Naturopath.

Save this post! If you’re experiencing fatigue,
we want to make sure the following markers are not just within range, but are at an optimal level:

đŸ©ž Iron studies – for energy

đŸ©žActive B12 – for nervous system + energy production

đŸ©žVitamin D – immune, mood + fatigue connection

đŸ©žThyroid panel (TSH, T3, T4) – metabolism + energy regulation

đŸ©žDHEAS – your stress resilience marker

đŸ©žFasting insulin + HbA1c – blood sugar = energy stability

đŸ©žCRP – underlying inflammation

đŸ©žLiver function – detox + hormone processing

IBS is a label often given to patients but it doesn’t explain why you’re bloated after every meal, why your bowels are unpredictable, or why your gut just doesn’t feel right.

Underneath “IBS” there’s always a story:

* gut microbiome imbalances
* bacterial overgrowth
* food intolerances
* stress + nervous system dysregulation

When we understand the why, we can treat the cause and create long-term change.

You don’t have to just “manage” your symptoms forever.

If you’re ready for another way to approach your gut health, I’d love to support you 💌

1. Pooping every day is essential to your health.

2. “Normal” lab ranges don’t always mean optimal.

3. A probiotic without a clear therapeutic goal often isn’t effective.

4. Chronic symptoms are your body asking for attention.

5. Skin issues are rarely just skin deep.
(It’s likely linked to gut health, nutrient deficiencies, hormones, inflammation)

6. Painful periods are common but not normal.
(You deserve answers and there’s more we can do to support your cycle)

7. Generic parasite cleanses can often do more harm than good if you haven’t tested to confirm the presence of a parasite.

8. Those “miracle” influencer supplements promising to fix everything are often not the answer.

Do any of these surprise you?

Omega-3 fatty acids are vital for optimal health have many benefits for your body and brain including reducing inflammation, improving skin health, and improving brain health and development in pregnancy and early childhood.

The Heart Foundation recommends Australians should aim for 2–3 serves of oily fish per week to get approx 250–500 mg of marine-sourced omega-3s (EPA + DHA) per day. *wild caught is best where possible*

Plant-based foods high in omega-3 fats include algae, seed oils and nuts.

Hot tip: try adding chia seeds and flaxseed oil to cereal, oats, smoothies and h**p or flaxseed oil to homemade salad dressings đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ
