On the 19th of June 2026, Chiron moves into Ta**us, beginning a long-term shift in the collective healing journey towards themes of self-worth, security, values, and our relationship with the physical world. Chiron often reveals where we feel vulnerable, inadequate, or disconnected from our own sense of wholeness, yet it also points towards profound wisdom and healing. In Ta**us, these lessons become more grounded and practical, asking us to examine where we seek safety, how we value ourselves, and whether the foundations of our lives genuinely support our wellbeing. This is not a transit of quick fixes, but one that encourages steady, lasting growth built on authenticity rather than appearances.

What to avoid during this period is measuring your worth through external achievements, possessions, status, or the approval of others. Ta**us seeks stability, but Chiron's arrival here may initially expose the places where security feels fragile or where old fears of scarcity, rejection, or inadequacy still linger beneath the surface. Rather than resisting these uncomfortable feelings, treat them as valuable information. Avoid rushing to solve every problem immediately or assuming that vulnerability is a weakness. Healing often begins when we stop fighting what we feel and start listening to what those feelings are trying to teach us.

Used well, this transit encourages a deeper investment in the things that genuinely sustain you. Focus on building practical stability, developing healthy routines, strengthening your relationship with your body, and making choices that reflect your true values rather than external expectations. Small, consistent actions will prove far more powerful than dramatic gestures. Over the coming years, Chiron in Ta**us reminds us that self-worth is not something that has to be earned; it is something that can be cultivated through self-respect, patience, and conscious care. The more willing you are to build your life upon what is real and meaningful, the stronger your foundations become. What begins as a healing journey can ultimately become a source of wisdom, resilience, and quiet confidence that supports every area of your life.

cidānanda · the joy of awareness

The central term Kṣemarāja introduces in Sūtra 16 of the Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam, where he gives a clear presentation of the goal of ta***ic yoga — embodied liberation (jīvan-mukti). The compound joins cit, awareness or consciousness, with ānanda, bliss or inherent joy. Through Sanskrit sandhi the two words fuse: cit + ānanda becomes cidānanda.

The term appears in Kṣemarāja's own opening phrase of Sūtra 16, cidānanda-lābhe — "upon the attainment of the joy of awareness." Christopher Hareesh Walis defines the term directly in his commentary on the sūtra:

"Joy of awareness, for Kṣemarāja, means the state of consciousness that arises from direct realization of your seamless unity with the whole of existence."

The Cat-Cow stretch is a gentle, flowing yoga sequence that warms up the spine, improves posture, and relieves back tension.

To perform it, start in a tabletop position on your hands and knees. Alternate between arching your back toward the ceiling (Cat) and dipping your belly toward the floor (Cow), syncing each movement with your breath.

In the ‘Yoga Sūtra, Patanjali offers a practice called pratipakṣa-bhāvanā: cultivating the opposite thought.

When the mind moves into a familiar pattern, pratipakṣa-bhāvanā offers a compassionate next step: notice the thought, then cultivate the quality that can meet it.

Instead, it invites a gentle redirection.
Comparison can become contentment.
Criticism can become compassion.
Control can become trust.
Rushing can become presence.
Reactivity can become reflection.

This is one way yoga “inverts” ordinary life. Not by asking us to deny what we feel or force positivity, but by helping us consciously orient the mind toward what frees us.

Try it now:
Notice one pattern that’s been active for you today.
Name it simply.
Then ask: What quality would help turn my mind in another direction?

Let that quality become the practice.
Breathe with it.
Feel where it lands in your body.
Return to it as often as you need.

Save this as a simple practice for the next time your thoughts need a new direction.

Then read Georg Feuerstein’s full article, “Cultivating the Opposite Thought.”

You stayed in rooms that dimmed you and called it loyalty.

You kept showing up for people
who never once showed up for you
and called it love.

You shrank yourself down
to fit spaces that were never built for you and called it being humble.

It wasn't any of those things.

It was you not knowing yet
that you were allowed to leave.

You are allowed to leave.

The job that makes you feel invisible.
The friendship that only flows one way.
The family dynamic that never changes no matter how much you do.
The relationship where you're always
too much or never enough.

You don't need their permission.
You don't need them to understand.
You don't need to explain yourself
on the way out the door.
