The guilt that shows up at 11pm for something you said years ago.
That’s the Blamer.
It isn’t trying to punish you. It’s trying to stop you repeating something, so you avoid pain.
It lives in the past, which is why it can’t let go.
When you stay present with it, it integrates. It takes on a new role.
Inner Critic No. 6 of 7. One more to go.
Save this, and send it to the friend who still apologises for things no one else remembers.

you’ve read the books. you’ve done the therapy. and still, one tuesday night, her voice comes out of your mouth.

that’s not a willpower problem. your body learned her long before you had words, so the reaction lands before the thought does.

and the harder you push away with “i’ll never be like her,” the tighter the pattern holds. what we reject, we repeat.

try this tonight: picture her in front of you. notice if your body opens or braces. if it braces, say quietly, “mum, i understand. i’ll take your love exactly as it is.” then notice what softens.

send this to the friend who keeps saying “i’m turning into my mum” 🤍
pattern files continue. next, we go into the body.

The “I can’t” isn’t laziness. It isn’t you being dramatic. And it definitely isn’t proof you’re turning into her.

It’s a part of you that wants something: to feel in control, to be approved of, or to feel safe. When nobody answers it, it gets louder.

This is a small exercise from my work.
1. You write what you want (your intention),
2. You catch the thought that blocks it,
3. You name what that part needs.
4. Then you give it that, from the calm adult you are now.

Do it twice. Read your intention again. Notice how much quieter it gets.

Save this for the next time it shows up. And tell me below: control, approval or security?

Sometimes there’s a reason for the anxiety. It’s just older than you.
For nine months, three women shared one body. Your grandmother, your mum, and the very first trace of you. What your grandmother couldn’t feel, she held. And some of it reached you.

So if you’ve ever wondered whether you can have anxiety for no reason… maybe it isn’t no reason. Maybe it’s hers.
But you didn’t only inherit her fear. You inherited whatever got her through it too.

What was your grandmother living through when she was pregnant with your mum?
Tell me below if you know.
If you don’t, that tells you something too.

Save this for the next time your chest goes tight for no reason. And send it to your sister or cousin. You share her too 🤍

critic #5: the destroyer.
the voice that doesn’t say “you did something wrong.”
it says “you are something wrong.”

it’s not the truth about who you are.
it’s a part that learned, a long time ago, that small felt safer.

this is the heaviest one in the series. go gently today 🤍

save it. share it with someone who’s been carrying this quietly.

next friday: #6, the blamer.

if those thoughts feel loud right now, please reach out to Lifeline on 13 11 14. you don’t have to hold this alone.

she kept blaming her son.
the more she pushed, the further he pulled away.
then she saw it.
his anger wasn’t his.
it was twenty years of her own, swallowed and never spoken.
“everything shifted once i understood it was about me. not him.”

what we push down doesn’t disappear.
our children carry it for us.
until someone is brave enough to look, and put it down.

she didn’t do anything special.
she just looked where no one had told her to look.

if you’re a mum who keeps fighting the same fight with your child, this might not be a parenting problem. it might be the pattern.

send this to a mum who needs to hear it 🤍
dm me “pattern” and we’ll talk.

Your mind doesn’t hear “don’t.”
It hears the picture.
“I don’t want to snap at my kids” → your brain sees the snap.
“I allow myself to stay calm and present with my children” → your brain sees the calm.
Positive. Short. Believable. Yours. And then let it go.
Drop your intention below and i’ll help you rewrite it 🤍
Save this for the next time you sit down with a pen.

Critic #4: the Underminer. If success makes you nervous, this is why.

30/09/2026

If you’re part of something that loves you this much, why do you feel so disconnected?
Because most days it’s your fear, your need for control, or your family’s old loyalties choosing for you.

When those parts feel safe enough to step aside, you reconnect to the Source. You remember who you are. And what you really want stops being a fight.

💾 Save this · ➡️ Follow for how to set your intentions.

Critic #3: the Taskmaster. The “rest is earned” voice in your head isn’t motivation - it’s fear in a suit.
