Selkie Life Coaching was founded in 2025 with the chief aim to support and encourage women to live courageous and confident lives.

We offer online and phone coaching to cut out the traffic and commute to a session, making coaching more accessible and easy to fit into the modern life 🍃

You can expect a professional, nurturing, and authentic coaching environment that encourages clients to explore and build self-confidence and self-efficacy in their everyday lives.

A key factor in living an aligned and authentic life is to listen to the guidance and voice of your inner self 🦋

This may sound quite obvious, but everyday (especially with social media so prevalent in our daily lives) we are bombarded with information and opinions that influence the decisions and choices we make.

We can often hear ‘you should do this to get X’ or ‘to get Y you need to be doing this’ etc etc, which can become overwhelming and lead to decision paralysis and confusion!

When you don’t have trust in your inner guidance system you can become absorbed and reliant on other people’s advice to make decisions in your life, which can lead to becoming disconnected from the self and from what the self truly desires.

Working with a coach is a great way to learn how to reconnect with yourself and your internal guidance system, and feel empowered to build a life from choices that feel aligned to you 🙌🏽

When you start living in alignment with your needs and wants (and not somebody else’s) your confidence and discernment of what’s right for you naturally grows too!

Set yourself up for success with a tailored approach to change! 🏆

Every human being is unique. We see the world through our own lense which is coloured by the experiences we collect throughout our lifetime. Our nervous systems and brains can be wired a little differently, and we are all motivated by different things.

With such diverse uniqueness, there can be no one size fits all approach to making changes in our lives.

Solid mechanisms for change, like repetition and mindset shifting, are crucial to creating the foundation for new habits and change within our lives, but this is only one part of the story.

The second part is understanding (and discovering through self-reflection) how we can align the way we move through the world as a unique individual to the steps and pathways needed for change.

Trust in the process of change on your own timeline ✨

Modern life has skewed our perception of change. We expect instant results and immediate benefits, however long lasting change and growth occurs below the surface, patiently bubbling away unseen.

The consistent mindful small steps and repetition of actions is what stokes our inner fire of change 🔥

One day you’ll wake up and feel like everything has shifted, the silent and patient growth has now burst to the surface and is ready to move you in a new direction, listen to where it wants to take you and be guided by what feels right 💫

What activities evoke a flow state for you? 🤔

Flow state is reached through consistent repetition of an activity or task. Habits are also formed through repetition, allowing us to drop into flow state more easily after we have solidified this new behaviour/change.

Engaging in activities that activate our flow state are important for our wellbeing and mental health ☀️

Hiking in nature is a great example of feeling the transition from repetition to flow state 🍃 First, as with any new activity or environment, we are hyper aware of ourselves and our surroundings. But through the repetition of our foot steps and breathing, the hyper awareness melts away into a flow state of simply ‘being’.

The combination of being surrounded by nature while engaging in the natural repetitions of breathing and walking together calm the mind and nervous system and allow for flow state to be reached 🙌🏽

Creating a list of flow state activities that you can use to reset yourself is a great resource for your self-care toolbox 🌟
