One component of presenting Resilience First Aid certification workshops that I absolutely love are the discussions that happen around the table, especially when we are practicing having wellbeing conversations using ALL (Appreciate, Listen, Lift).

Thank you KSJ Consulting Service for the opportunity to explore and practice strength-based skills with your amazing team to further build their resilience and wellbeing.

Having indigenous voices and perspectives represented in the room was especially insightful and inspiring.

Doing what brings me joy to keep my resilience, mindset and wellbeing strong! 🧡

A sensational Sunday at WOMAD yesterday celebrating world music and dance with friends!

A much needed oasis of music, dancing, love, joy, peace and unity among the trees of Adelaide’s Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla.

Having worked in Education and Training for more than 20 years, I was curious to see the level of resilience in the sector according to the latest National Resilience Index, produced by Driven and released last month.

The report shows that teachers and staff in the education sector are facing ongoing challenges (green line in the graph below).

When it comes to students, the report shows that they continue to have overall resilience scores significantly lower than other groups (pink line in graph below).

What difference can Resilience First Aid Certification Training make?

The 4,596 educators and educational staff who participated had a baseline score of 65.4%, which increased to 73.9% following resilience training, representing a 13.0% increase overall.

The 1,111 students who participated (primarily higher education students) showed that they are highly responsive to mental health training.

Their baseline of 56.5% increased to 75.0% following training, producing a remarkable improvement of 32.7%!

To learn more about how Resilience First Aid Certification Training boosts the mental health and wellbeing of educators, staff and students, and helps build positive, productive and supportive learning environments, let's meet for coffee and a chat!

"From little things big things grow."!

We were a small group for the first Resilience First Aid Starter Training workshop at WEA Adult Learning but it allowed for a more personalised experience for the participants.

Thank you Danielle Phillips from Sage Executor Solutions for your encouraging feedback!

"I recently attended Carey’s Resilience First Aid Starter Training workshop through WEA and found it incredibly informative and enlightening. The PR6 assessment in particular gave me real insight into my true resilience score, not just how I think I’m coping, but what’s actually happening beneath the surface.

Carey creates a calm, safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable being honest about where you’re at. The content was practical and actionable, and I left with a much clearer understanding of the specific areas I can strengthen rather than just a vague sense of “I should be more resilient.”

What I appreciated most was Carey’s grounded, compassionate approach. She balances professionalism with warmth, and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping people build sustainable resilience.

I would highly recommend her training to anyone wanting a deeper, evidence-based understanding of their resilience and practical tools to improve it."
