Nature isn’t just beautiful. It’s biological.

Did you know a single forest walk can increase your NK (natural killer) cells by up to 50%?

Phytoncides — the organic compounds trees release into the air — are the reason why.

Research shows they reduce stress hormones, lower blood pressure, and enhance immunity for days after exposure.

When you walk through a forest or spend time sitting beneath a tree, you absorb phytoncides when you breathe them in and also through your skin. There's so much more to that inhale than you realised. You don't have to do anything. Just breathe. The trees do the rest 🌿

Why choose us?

Our Nature Therapy events all started after returning from a pilgrimage trek to Japan in early 2018. Inspired by what we experienced, we started including periods of silence during all our Heart Adventures guided walks.

After introducing these mindful minutes, our walkers commented on their positive impact. They enjoyed the chance to appreciate and form a deeper connection to the natural environment surrounding them.

Seeking a deeper understanding, owner Lisa undertook training. She became a trained Forest Therapy Guide through ANFT (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy) in 2021. Now, we have certified guides that facilitate opportunities for others to benefit from meaningful connections with nature.

In Adelaide, Kaurna Country, we are very fortunate to have a wonderful natural environment. With a diverse and varied landscape nearby, it allows us to regularly offer nature therapy in the forest and also by the ocean.

This is your chance to join like-minded women on 3 gentle walking, nature and wellbeing-focused Weekenders.

Hosted by Heart Adventures, you can choose wilderness, walking and wellbeing on a Weekender for women in South Australia's stunning Clare Valley later this month. Or rest, reconnect and restore during a weekend retreat at Monarto Safari Park with a visit to Jurlique in the Adelaide Hills mid-August. Then in November, wrap up the year with waterfalls, walking and Waitpinga on a Fleurieu Peninsula Weekender, staying at Beach Retreats.

Each featuring invitations to connect with nature, these Weekenders have limited spots left! Follow the link for details.
