As many of you know, I am extremely passionate about books!

I especially love supporting authors with lived experience writing amazing works that advocate, support, educate, and normalize experiences for people allowing them to understand themselves better and to feel more connected and less alone.

To me books are a fantastic way to keep advocating when we are not there, when we are tired or burnt out, when we want the messages to reach as many homes, schools, libraries and clinicians as possible - you just never know whom a book may find!

If you are a parent of a PDA child or a child experiencing School Can't...

The School is Lava is a great book for anyone who finds going to school really difficult and needs to know they're not alone.

Danielle Jata-Hall is not only an amazing Author but a dedicated disability advocate, blogger and a single Mum to 3 Autistic daughters.

As a PDA family, I have followed her for many years and look forward to reading her new book!

You can preorder The School is Lava from our website here: https://www.thehappygiraffe.com.au/products/the-school-is-lava-by-danielle-jata-hall?_pos=1&_psq=lava&_psid=40da4ae91&_ss=e

Good morning all :)

Just a reminder that we’re closed this week while we attend the WATAA – WA Teachers Assistant’s Conference in Perth. Orders will still be posted as usual, and locals are welcome to place an order online, select ‘free local pick up’ at checkout, and we’ll leave it at the Albany Business Centre for collection during the week.

We really appreciate your support during these weeks, as conferences, expos, and events in Perth are such an important part of our year. They’re a great way for us to network, connect with other amazing neurodivergent and neuroaffirming businesses, catch up with friends and regular online customers who drop by to say hi, and spread awareness of our business so we can keep growing and expanding our offerings!

Much love and appreciation,
Claire
