🤍I want to start by acknowledging that there will be mixed opinions about what I’m sharing.
It feels like everyone has something to say about women’s bodies lately and the choices we make about what’s best for ourselves.
For me, I’ve reached a point where living in a larger body is impacting not only my health, but also the way I move through and show up in the world.
This decision hasn’t been made lightly. It’s something I’ve thought about deeply and carefully behind the scenes, away from social media. And after a lot of reflection, I know this is the right choice for me.
Yes, I’ve chosen medical weight loss as a way to support my weight loss journey after years of battling cycles of binge eating, constant food noise, and the mental load that comes with always thinking about food.
I think it’s important to be as transparent as possible because I know there are so many people using medical weight loss who feel afraid to speak openly about it due to judgement, stigma, or criticism. I also know there are creators who don’t feel comfortable sharing this part of their journey publicly.
For me, honesty has always mattered. If I’m going to share my life, my health, and my progress online, then I want to do so authentically.
This is a personal decision that I’ve made for my own health, wellbeing, and future. It isn’t the whole story, and it certainly isn’t a shortcut. I’m still showing up, moving my body, working on my mindset, and making changes that support the life I want to live.
I hope to share more of this journey as I go and offer an honest look at what the experience is really like.
If you’d like to hear more about my experience and the conversation behind this decision, you can watch my chat with Holly on the Mamamia podcast No Filter. Head over to YouTube to listen to the full conversation.
I simply ask that if you choose to join the conversation, you do so with kindness, compassion, and an open mind♥️
