Archie The Playful Paws Therapy Dog

Archie The Playful Paws Therapy Dog Hello.... I'm Archie, a blue roan English Cocker Spaniel therapy dog. My full name is Bathgate Archie but everyone knows me as just Archie.

My favourite things I love are saying hello to everyone and everything.

Last night at Playful Paws: Training & Wellness in my Tricky class we were practicing catch the treat off the spatula when you hit it with your paw. I didn't do too bad at it but thought sometimes...why waste the energy hitting it when I can just grab the treat. Less effort....No need to chase the treat to where it lands.
I am an ideas dog😃. No wonder Mum and Dad say I am smart.

This morning was Therapy Dog Thursday at Playful Paws: Training & Wellness. I enjoyed a Playful Paws Puppachino’s....yummm then Deb came to visit from Distinctive Options Noweyung. Lola and I loved enjoying pats, scratches and a good laugh. We love having visitors on Thursday mornings. I told Deb that when she visits next week, Mum and Dad will bring my bubble wand so I can show Deb my expertise at bubble chasing😁.

Bring along your little hoomans for a story and a pat this Saturday.

Nothing better than a comfy couch to rest my paws on for a minute, cuddles and smiles when visiting the Aboriginal Health Unit staff today. It is always a highlight of my weekly visit😘

Don't you just love it when you get a scratch just in the right spot? Today, Dad Warren and I headed off to Bairnsdale Regional Health Service Hospital after my week long break when Mum and Dad were away. While staying at Lakes Entrance Pet-O-Tel, I loved catching up with and making new four legged friends but I also missed my hooman friends at the Hospital. I was so excited to see everyone and I think by all of the happy smiles and hellos I think that we were missed. We visited the Wards, Waiting Areas, Admin and Therapy Departments. I just hope I was able to brighten a few hooman's day for them. Till next time.

I have spent the last few days being looked after by Aunty Dale and Uncle John at Lakes Entrance Pet-O-Tel while Dad and Mum were away. Memphis and Bentley were with me as well and apparently the pesky cats Monty and Ernie were there too but I didn't see them because they were in the cattery. Three days of peace for us dogs😃. Now that I am home I have chased my ball, had lots of belly rubs and asked to play bubbles with Memphis but Mum said no because he is a little quiet this afternoon. I understand because sometimes his cancer makes him a bit snoozy. The rest of my couple of hours since I arrived home has been spent just staring at Dad and Mum wagging my tail. Till next week when Dad and I will be back at work at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service.
Love and cuddles. Archie xxoo

This morning Dad Warren and I headed off to Maddocks Gardens Aged Care, Bairnsdale Regional Health Service to check in on all of my friends there. Dad said I had to give special love to one of the residents whose team Hawthorn were beaten in their last game and knew he wouldn't be happy. Probably as unhappy as Dad was last weekend nearly crying saying 68-0 whatever that means.(Mum kept telling him not to yell at the TV😄). I jumped up on a few beds for nice warm cuddles and then got to supervise at the resident's BBQ though I wasn't allowed to be Chief Taster. Maybe next time.
Well now for a little kip and then Dad and I will be off to the fortnightly Undergraduate Nurses Debrief back at the Hospital this afternoon.
Till next time. Love and cuddles. Archie xxoo

It is a very chilly day but made all worthwhile to have some warm cuddles. Deb and Sam from Distinctive Options Noweyung came to Playful Paws: Training & Wellness Therapy Dog Thursday to say hello to Willow, Lola and myself. We love having them come and visit us and say hello. Sam gives just the best scratches..which I repaid him with a kiss on the cheek and Deb's treats are just too yummy💖💖.
