Wearable breast pumps.
I wish these were around when I had my babies!
I had to pump at 2 friends weddings, at Christmas lunch, at the park, in the car - you name it! It was not subtle, or easy!
I’ve seen mums at school pick up with wearables on, at the shops & on the go with their baby. I always give them a little nod and smile to let them know that they’re damn amazing 👊
Wearable breast pumps are convenient - But there are a few things worth knowing, see above ⬆️.
Wearable/hands-free pumps have become incredibly popular, and I can completely understand why.
For a busy mum, being able to express while making lunch, doing the school run, working, looking after another child or simply moving around the house can make pumping feel much more manageable.
They can be a brilliant tool. They just aren’t necessarily the best pump for every breast, every situation or every stage of lactation.
If you’re pumping regularly and something doesn’t feel right — you’re getting pain, poor output, ni**le damage or you’re simply unsure whether your pump is fitting correctly — an IBCLC can assess your fl**ge fit, pumping technique and milk removal.
Because sometimes a few small adjustments can make a very big difference.
Whatever your feeding journey looks like, just know that you’re amazing & I’m here to support you in any way that you need.
