A few weeks ago, the Dare to Dream Dietetics team had the opportunity to attend the Conference in Sydney! ✨

Professional development is something we value deeply, and we love bringing fresh ideas, new perspectives, and evidence-based knowledge back to our clients and community.

From learning more about neurodiversity-affirming practice and communication, to expanding our understanding of probiotics and client-centred care, there were so many valuable insights to take away.

⭐ Research Opportunity ⭐

Are you a parent or caregiver of neurodivergent children who are fussy eaters?

Dietitian colleague and PhD candidate, Josh Schiller, from Univeristy of western Sydney needs your help!

Josh works with neurodivergent individuals in his clinical practice. He is also doing a study that is looking at the perspectives of parents navigating challenging mealtimes, their experiences accessing feeding therapy and the commonly witnessed patterns of fussy eating.

To participate, parents or caregivers are asked to complete an interview and survey online to record their experiences navigating the journey of feeding children with fussy eating tendencies.

We are hoping his research will help inform clinical practice for all clinicians!

Happy World Baking Day 🧁💛

Not every recipe turns out exactly how we imagined… but that’s part of the fun of baking — experimenting, learning, and sometimes discovering something unexpectedly delicious 👩‍🍳✨

While this recipe wasn’t quite a win for me today, it might just become a favourite in your house, so I had to share it anyway! These high-protein fudgy brownies are a great snack option and can easily be customised with your favourite mix-ins 🍫

✨ Optional extras: chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit or anything you love!
❄️ Store in the fridge or freeze and pull out as needed.

🍫 High Protein Brownies 🍫

Ingredients
• 237ml Pediasure Ready-to-Drink, Sustagen Ready-to-Drink or another high protein drink
• ½ cup plain full-fat Greek or vanilla yoghurt
• ¼ cup melted butter, olive oil or vegetable oil
• 2 eggs
• ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
• 1 tsp vanilla essence
• ½ cup plain or wholemeal flour
• ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tsp baking powder
• Pinch of salt

Method
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 170°C fan-forced and line a small square tin.
2️⃣ Whisk wet ingredients until smooth.
3️⃣ Sift in dry ingredients.
4️⃣ Fold gently until just combined.
5️⃣ Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are set but centre is soft.
6️⃣ Cool completely before slicing for the perfect fudgy texture 🤎

Happy baking ✨

In honour of Dietitians Week - Meet Loryn 👋✨

Hi, I’m Loryn — one of the Paediatric Feeding Specialist Dietitians at Dare to Dream Dietetics. I specialise in supporting children with sensory and picky eating, neurodivergent eating presentations such as ARFID and binge eating, ADHD, and I also have a strong interest in gut-related conditions.

When you come to see me, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where comfort matters — and there will very likely always be a cup of tea in our sessions ☕

A little about me outside the clinic… I love anything with a bit of adrenaline — from rollercoasters to thriller novels and adventurous experiences. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me reading, grabbing a coffee, or spending time with my very big family.

I’m really looking forward to supporting you on your journey 💫

Can’t wait to see you at Dare to Dream Dietetics!
