We hope that men:

- Celebrate the positive things about being a man, young man and boy
- Connect emotionally with their children, their partners and those around them
- Are encouraged to join in positive change, personally, in their families and the wider community
- Get involved in activities that are pro-active and support positive behavior change
- Discuss the influences upon their attitudes a

nd beliefs around male identity
- Create resources that promote positive male role models

Campaign Outcomes:

- Increased emotional connection between males and the children in their lives
- Increased time spent between males with the children in their lives
- Increase quality of involvement between males with the children in their lives
- More men living out the 10 core themes of the MenCare initiative

MenCare Global is a global fatherhood campaign. Our mission is to promote men’s involvement as equitable, non-violent fathers and caregivers in order to achieve family well-being and gender equality. MenCare Global supports 10 MenCare Themes

See what fathers can do right now to make a difference in their lives and the lives of their children. Fatherhood is made up of hundreds- if not thousands- of small decisions; decisions that are made each and every day by men all over the world. So we asked ourselves- if we could try to encourage fathers to do more, to be more caring, to be more engaged, where would we start? By working with our local and international partners, and fathers and mothers from diverse settings, these 10 themes emerged as the backbone of the MenCare Campaign.

My boys are 21 and 19. I caught up with my eldest in Melbourne yesterday and had a great time out. As my youngest ran out the front door this morning he yelled out 'Love you dad, have a great day'. This article reminded me of values my wife and I held in our parenting and I still hold in my teaching in adult learning environments.

The other night, as always, I asked my kids how their day had been and to share their favourite story. The story my daughter shared opened my eyes to the growing problem in our primary schools, writes Mariana Rudan.
