This week is World Continence Week 🌏
Incontinence is one of those conditions people rarely talk about, yet it affects millions of Australians every single day. Around 1 in 4 people in Australia experience some form of incontinence, and the more openly we discuss it, the easier it becomes for people to seek support sooner.
A recent Deloitte Access Economics report, commissioned by Continence Health Australia, found:
🔹 In 2023, more than 7.2 million Australians were living with incontinence
🔹 By 2032, that number is expected to rise to 8.6 million, around 34.1% of the population
🔹 71% of people with incontinence are under 65
Incontinence isn't just an "older person's" condition, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. Reducing the stigma starts with conversations like this one.
If you or someone you care about is managing incontinence, support is out there and so are products designed to help you live comfortably and confidently. 💙
