When Marie first joined the Choose Trim Choose Healthy Hub, her goal was simple:

"Just help me lose some weight."

At the time, she felt exhausted all the time.

She avoided photos.

She rarely bought new clothes because she didn't like how she looked.

And every time she thought about losing weight, she felt overwhelmed before she even started.

She expected to learn about nutrition and exercise.

What she didn't expect was how much her mindset would change.

Week by week, she started celebrating small wins.

She learned that one unhealthy meal didn't ruin her progress.

She stopped using food as a reward after stressful days.

She became kinder to herself.

The weight began to come off steadily, but something even more important happened.

Her confidence returned.

She started saying yes to social events.

She felt comfortable in her own skin again.

She had more energy to play with her children and enjoy life.

Twelve months after joining, Marie had achieved her weight loss goal.

But when asked what the biggest change was, her answer surprised everyone.

"It wasn't the weight I lost. It was the belief I gained in myself."

And that's what true transformation looks like.

The Choose Trim Choose Healthy Hub isn't just about losing weight.

It's about creating a healthier, happier version of you—inside and out. 💚

What if you didn't need more willpower?

What if you simply needed a pause?

Many emotional eating episodes happen on autopilot.

A stressful email.

A difficult conversation.

A long day.

And before you know it, you're standing in the kitchen looking for relief.

That's why I encourage clients to practise the 5-Minute Pause.

Not to restrict themselves.

Not to fight cravings.

But to understand what's really happening beneath them.

The more awareness you create around your triggers, the easier it becomes to make choices that truly support your wellbeing.

💬 Have you ever paused and realised you weren't actually hungry?

✨ Weekly Reflection Time ✨

Emotional eating isn't about a lack of willpower. More often, it's a response to emotions we're trying to soothe, avoid, or manage.

This week, take a moment to reflect:

👉 What emotions showed up most often before you felt the urge to eat?

Was it stress?
Boredom?
Loneliness?
Overwhelm?
Frustration?
Even celebration?

The goal isn't to judge yourself or label emotions as "good" or "bad." The goal is simply awareness.

When we begin to recognise the emotional triggers behind our eating habits, we create an opportunity to respond differently. Awareness is the first step toward change.

🌱 This week, challenge yourself to pause before eating and ask:
"What am I feeling right now?"

You might be surprised by what you discover.

💬 Share one word that describes how you've been feeling lately in the comments.

Most emotional eating isn't about food at all.

It's about trying to escape an uncomfortable feeling.

Many people think the answer is more willpower, stricter diets, or cutting out their favourite foods.

But if the emotional trigger remains, the cycle often continues.

The key is learning to recognise what happens before the eating.

What emotion are you experiencing?

What need is going unmet?

What are you truly seeking in that moment?

When you start responding to the emotion instead of automatically reaching for food, everything begins to change.

Remember: emotional eating is a behaviour, not an identity.

And behaviours can be changed with awareness, support, and practice. ❤️

💬 Which emotion tends to trigger emotional eating for you most often: stress, boredom, loneliness, overwhelm, or something else?

For years, Sarah felt like she was trapped on a never-ending rollercoaster.

She would start a new diet every Monday, stay "perfect" for a few days, then life would happen. Stress, exhaustion, family commitments, emotional eating... and before she knew it, she was back where she started.

Every failed attempt chipped away at her confidence.

She didn't need another meal plan.

She didn't need more willpower.

What she needed was support, education, accountability, and a healthier relationship with food.

When Sarah joined the Choose Trim Choose Healthy Hub, she stopped focusing on being perfect and started focusing on being consistent.

She learned how to manage emotional eating triggers, make healthier choices without feeling deprived, and create habits that actually fit into her busy lifestyle.

Six months later, she had lost over 12kg.

But what made her most proud wasn't the number on the scales.

It was the fact that she no longer felt controlled by food.

She had more energy, more confidence, and for the first time in years, she trusted herself around food.

Because lasting weight loss isn't about dieting harder.

It's about becoming the person who naturally makes healthier choices.

That's exactly what we help our members do inside the Choose Trim Choose Healthy Hub.

If you're tired of starting over, maybe it's time for a different approach. 💚

Do you ever find yourself standing in front of the pantry even though you're not really hungry?

You're not alone.

One of the biggest challenges I see with weight loss isn't a lack of knowledge about nutrition—it's understanding the difference between physical hunger and emotional hunger.

Many people spend years blaming themselves for "poor choices" when they're actually using food as a coping strategy for stress, overwhelm, boredom, loneliness, or difficult emotions.

The good news?

Emotional eating is a learned behaviour, which means it can be unlearned.

The first step is awareness.

Take a look through this carousel and see if any of the signs resonate with you.

💬 I'd love to know: Which emotional eating trigger shows up most often for you?

Weekly Reflection: Consistency Over Intensity

Take a moment and reflect honestly:

Did I try to do too much, too hard, too fast… and then burn out? Or did I choose consistency this week?

When it comes to weight loss and health, intensity gets the spotlight — but consistency is what creates real change.

A 20-minute walk done 4 times this week will always outperform a single “all or nothing” workout followed by days of recovery and guilt.

Your body doesn’t need perfection. It needs rhythm.

Small movement. Regular movement. Repeatable movement.

That’s where transformation happens.

This week, notice this:

What is one form of movement I could commit to regularly — even on low-energy days?

Because success isn’t built in extremes. It’s built in what you can keep doing when motivation fades.

💬 Reflection for the week:
Where did I choose intensity over consistency — and what would consistency look like instead?

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to improve their health or lose weight is choosing exercise based on what they think they should do… rather than what they can actually sustain.

But your body doesn’t respond to short bursts of extreme effort.
It responds to repeated behaviour over time.

And repetition only happens when something feels at least somewhat enjoyable, manageable, and aligned with your lifestyle.

When movement feels like punishment, the nervous system resists it.
When movement feels supportive or enjoyable, the nervous system cooperates.

This is why two people can follow the “same program” and get completely different results.

The missing link is rarely effort.
It’s consistency.

And consistency is built on enjoyment.

If you’ve ever struggled to stay consistent with exercise, this might be the shift you needed.

Save this as a reminder that you’re allowed to choose movement you actually like.
