The bloke is running Melbourne to Sydney and for more than IG fame! He’s definitely got a purpose and a worthy story to tell! (I encourage you to read about it on his page and get behind the lad and donate a bob to his cause with Black Dog Institute ). It’s a solid shout!

I didn’t actually get the pleasure of meeting JAMES NAYLOR this morning as he was out beating down tar , as in, running the miles, but I did get a short yarn with these three (his crew) as they took a moment to restore & renew (they’re putting down the kms with him) and it just gets me fired up - people out there doing radical s**t with a purpose.
God bless the lot of you and may your feet rise up in victory with each step you take.

Honest confession: I feel somewhat uneasy about posting this kind of content. But it’s over-ridden by the inspiration I’m given through these experiences. So I’m sharing it with the hope that it lands with purpose and not just entertainment…

This is my son and I this morning. A Friday morning, first thing 630-7am before school or breaky. And his first sauna since breaking his femur 2 months ago…Why is this important you might wander?
•
It’s simple. We’re busy. All of us. Whether in our heads or simply with our hands. And our kids grow up so friggen quickly! As a single dad to one child I’m witnessing this change at a confronting pace. Yet, it’s equally beautiful… It’s beautiful to see my little boy growing into a young adolescent. To share sauna with him, to yarn a little and to be together free of distractions.
So my purpose in sharing this is inspire even just one father out there that’s battling with the balance of life.
Take a moment with your kids. Every day. (And equally your partner). Cherish the time you have with them.
For time stands still for no one…

This is for Fathers…
•
It feels vulnerable and even estranged to be doing this posting stuff to be frank with you fellas. It’s not my natural inclination. But as I sit here in this sauna each morning before the sun comes up and take an hour to myself, I’m constantly reminded of what’s truly important to me. Being the best dad I can. Being a safe & stable place for others to join in. Battling the ego and Leaning into kindness even when I want to smack some fella across the ear. Trying, oh so ever trying to be more like Yeshua (Jesus). That’s real masculinity from where I stand.
•
And sure, I genuinely see a need for humanity to find windows of refuge. To stop momentarily and be with life. It’s a big play this experience of life. It’s tough at times, for all of us. So I want to encourage you - Fathers. Dig in. Stand tall. Be the gentle, selfless, compassionate man you were built to be.
•
And let’s get together in spaces like sauna more often to be real with the s**t show and the highs..
