So wonderful to host the All Towns Gathering in Berri this week . Sharing stories and learning together.

A beautiful Riverland experience for our Our Town visitors. 💙🌿

Today, the group enjoyed lunch aboard Fay, the floating restaurant, taking in the peaceful Murray River views and a little taste of what makes Berri such a special place to visit.

We’ve loved welcoming everyone to our community and sharing some of the wonderful experiences right here on our doorstep. ☀️🌊

1000 HEARTS PROJECT AT BERRI PRIMARY SCHOOL
Insight: Bringing generations together

Students at Berri Primary School have been spending their lunchtimes sewing felt hearts as a community positivity and connection project. The students have been out and about delivering these hearts out in the community – passing out 95 just at Saint Catherine’s and Berri Hospital! We also hear, they’ve been known to hide these hearts out in the community, keep your eyes peeled.

Carly has been popping in each week to support this beautiful and ✨heartfelt✨ initiative. We've seen such huge impacts on community wellbeing through this small gesture of kindness.

“It was fantastic to see all the smiles, laughter, and special moments being made throughout the day!”

Incredible work from these students!

BABY AND CHILD FIRST AID TRAINING
Insight: Supporting people through transitions & generations coming together!

Our very popular Baby and Child First Aid event facilitated by Safe Sprouts has returned for a third time to Berri! Families Lead, Britney, spent last Sunday supporting participants through the thorough training. Another sold-out event with 30 people, parents, grandparents, siblings and children all coming along – for a total of 90 people trained in child safety over three events!

River Families First is committed to supporting and empowering families in our community to ensure every parent and caregiver has access to vital, life-saving skills that could save a child's life. This workshop has sold out each time we’ve delivered it. This really shows the community’s need for practical workshops where they can learn and develop skills relevant to their lives.

Join the River Families First Facebook group and participate in Britney’s surveys to show your interest. These surveys help Britney decide on what to focus on next with direct feedback from the people it impacts most.
