Paige is an invaluable member of The Lymph Lab team, bringing a passion for evidence-based nursing care, innovation, and improving outcomes for patients with complex conditions. With a growing interest in complex wound management, Paige is dedicated to exploring how advanced, non-invasive technologies can complement traditional wound care approaches and support better healing outcomes for our patients.

Her interest in emerging therapies, including laser therapy and shockwave therapy, reflects The Lymph Lab’s commitment to integrating safe, clinically informed technologies that aim to optimise tissue health, reduce inflammation, support recovery, and enhance patient care.

Paige also holds the important role of The Lymph Lab’s Laser Safety Officer, ensuring that our laser therapies are delivered in accordance with the highest standards of safety, governance, and clinical compliance. Meet Rachel MacDonald – Our ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner 💙

We're proud to have Rachel McDonald consulting from The Lymph Lab, Birtinya, every Thursday. Rachel is an experienced Registered Nurse with a diverse background spanning midwifery, primary health care, general practice, cosmetic nursing, and complex wound management. She brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, compassion, and expertise to our growing lymphoedema team.

Rachel provides personalised treatment using a combination of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Sequential Biocompression, Low-Level Laser Therapy, Silicone Scar Therapy, and evidence-based management of complex and chronic wounds. Whether you're living with lymphoedema, recovering from cancer treatment or surgery, or managing difficult wounds, Rachel is committed to helping you achieve the best possible outcomes.

As a husband and wife Directorship team, James and Tamara relish the opportunity to get to conferences together and network with other Lymphoedema clinicians. This week they're in Cairns ahead of the Australasian Lymphology Association annual conference. James, as a Nurse Practitioner dual trained in Primary Health and Intensive Care, and Tam with specialist qualifications in Neonatal Critical Care and Wound Care, bring a unique perspective on how lymphoedema and wounds are treated. Though with ongoing research and evidence, its paramount that clinicians across the board stay ahead of the latest advancements.
