About Celia
I am a degree qualified counsellor with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, along with training in approaches that honour the whole person. I have worked in general counselling practices, allied health and not-for-profit organisations specialising in sexual, domestic, and family violence counselling. I draw from a trauma-informed approach, nerv
ous system awareness, Gestalt theory, mindfulness, neuroscience and attachment theory. My work is deeply relationalโI prioritise connection, safety, and presence in every session. I support each person in reconnecting with their body, gently exploring their experiences, and drawing on their values and resources as a foundation for healing. My own lived experiences led me to where I am today and through my willingness to face my fears I am on a continuous journey of healing. This has instilled a passion which encourages me to support others including the most vulnerable in our community. Some of the modalities I use are:
-Synergetic Play Therapy
-Trauma Informed Practice
-Understanding of Neuroscience
-Inner Child Healing
-Somatic Experiencing
-Gestalt Therapy
-Strengths based practice
-Person centred care
-Attachment Theory
