We’re proud to share that Zealthier owner, Sean Cornish, will be taking part in the M-Brace 50km Charity Walk this Magic Round weekend as part of the incredible

This event is more than just a physical challenge — it’s a strong show of support for an issue that affects so many people, both directly and indirectly: mental health.

Mental health struggles do not discriminate. In Australia, nearly 1 in 2 people will experience a mental health condition at some stage in their life, and sadly, su***de remains one of the leading causes of death in young Australians. Behind every statistic is a family, a friend, a colleague, or someone in our community who has been impacted.

The M-Brace walk exists to raise awareness, spark important conversations, and support initiatives that help break down the stigma surrounding mental health. It’s about showing people that they are not alone and encouraging connection, support, and hope.

We’re incredibly proud to have Sean involved in such a meaningful event, and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic part of the Magic Round weekend.

It's 7:00 pm, you're famished, and you have eaten nothing all day. A couple of coffees and a croissant for breakfast at 10 am, but you haven't stopped since. You got cut off and nearly had an accident on the drive home. When you walk in, your kids barely raise an eyelid, and you are officially hangry! You've been so busy throughout the day the signs of hunger weren't recognisable, and now it's dinner time. The following 30 minutes is a blur as your body finally receives the nourishment it needs, but once you start, you can't stop after the 3rd helping of your partner's cooking, and the TV goes to an ad break; you take a breath and reset. The guilt sinks in. Oh man, what a day. You've been under pressure all day, barely felt like you've breathed, had cortisol surge through your body on the drive home and spent the last part of the day in a state of supercharged emotions as your body used its stores to operate. You've remedied that with precisely what you've needed all day, 'nutrition', but you've unfortunately overeaten and now feel bloated.

Discussing that feeling with your partner, old mate Zuckerburg listens in, and your newsfeed is bombarded with fad diet alternatives and the latest update from 'Eddie expert'. They play on that guilt and shame, and at that moment, the words 'you need to try harder' land the final blow, enter Mr Pinot Noir, ahhhh there is that relief!

I've taken an artistic license here, but the behavioural patterns we remedy in nutrition coaching are similar. We talk about proactive nourishment and eating for energy when needed. Still, I wanted to introduce this concept of intuitive eating to you—the recognition of the body's cues for hunger and satiety and dialling into those and trusting them.

There are 3 main principles to this, and I could write chapters on it, but here they are...
1. Reject diet culture
2. Honour the hunger
3. Recognise the fullness cues

Perhaps some questions to think about the next time you're eating:
Why are you eating?
What is your body communicating it needs?
What is your stomach telling you? Your brain and emotions? Your energy?
When was the last time you honestly tasted every mouthful?

This Creamy Balsamic Dressing is an absolute must in the Cornish fridge!
Add it to your favourite salad or meat, veg and quinoa night like we do!
So easy to make and soooo delish!

Ingredients
1/2 cup Australian made olive oil
1/4 cup light coconut cream
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp sea salt

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a measuring cup as you pour quantities and whisk with a fork to bring them together.
Will store in an air-tight jar for a week in the fridge.
Make sure to give it a good shake before each use.

Carbs should be your friend!!!

Over the last decade, the lower-carb movement has gathered some momentum. I will attempt to cut through many of the promises and tell you what we have learnt from recent studies in this space. When we use fat as our primary fuel source, we can only achieve a certain intensity. That intensity isn't anywhere near our potential. When we want to push toward that potential, we cross over into an intensity zone that requires carbohydrates as the fuel source. In an oversimplified version of events, fat requires more oxygen to break it down; carbohydrate requires less. We can operate closer to the maximum intensity/ capacity of the lungs when utilising carbohydrates as our fuel source. From park run to a marathon, to quote the author of the study: 'When the going gets tough, the tough go carbohydrates!'

So when you want to push for that extra bit in your next training session or improve that park run time, make sure you have your old mate carbohydrate in the meal before you do!

Banana Bread
Ingredients

400g bananas
6 eggs
6 pitted dates
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
60ml coconut oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
70g coconut flour
20g chia seeds

Method
Preheat oven to 170C
Combine bananas, dates, oil, cinnamon, vanilla, eggs and baking powder into a food processor or blender until creamy and combined.
Add the coconut flour and chia seeds and mix through
Rest for 10 mins to allow the chia seeds and flour to expand
Lightly grease a loaf tin and line with baking paper (eg: 10x26cm)
Spoon batter into the tin and sprinkle with shredded coconut
Bake for approx 50mins or until the centre springs back
Remove from oven and allow to cool before removing from tin
