Coffee in hand before heading off for a day of creativity, ideas and business dreaming at a one-day intensive with Chenae Carey | Intuitive Business Mentor

In the background, our road trip gear is stacked and ready — waiting to be loaded up in just a few short weeks as we head off, Tasmania bound. 🚙🏕️

Then there’s the wrist splint that has disturbed my sleep yet again 😩… but fingers crossed, it seems to be doing its job, giving my TFCC and ECU tendon the chance to heal and hopefully helping me avoid surgery. 🤞

And my favourite spot on the couch.

The place where I contemplate my life choices, have countless conversations with my kids, drink my coffee in peace, do a ridiculous amount of thinking and planning, and almost always end up with a pet (or two) curled up beside me.

It’s funny how one ordinary photo can capture so many pieces of life at once.

Work and creativity.
Adventure and anticipation.
Healing and frustration.
Family and home.
Big plans and quiet moments.

There’s a lot happening in this little corner of my world right now. ❤️

✈️ August & September are shaping up to be BUSY!

My gosh, the next six weeks are looking very full — with a mix of learning, business, retreat time and, finally, a much-needed family holiday! 💛

It all kicks off this Thursday night with a quick trip to Perth for a bit of a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity — the Infant Oral Function and Feeding Masterclass with Dr Justin Roche and Kate Roche, hosted by .shereenlim . I am so excited for this one and cannot wait to bring what I learn back into my work with families. 👶🏼🧠

Then I’m home for a few days before heading away for a two-night retreat with the and — a little time to stop, reconnect and refill my own cup.

Back home again for a few days, then I’m off to The Heart-Centred Business Conference with , investing some time and energy into the business behind TEPC. 💻💛

And then, after one final week at home, our family is off to Tasmania! 🏔️🌿

This trip will be a particularly bittersweet one. It’s a chance for some very overdue family time and a proper holiday, but also an opportunity to finally farewell my cousin, who sadly passed away from glioblastoma late last year.

I’m sure there will be tears, laughter, lots of hugs and, knowing me, an excessive amount of excitement over wombats and every other piece of Tasmanian wildlife I can find. 🥹🌿

If you’re a current TEPC client and need a follow-up before I head away, please, please let me know! I have deliberately kept some appointments aside for existing families who need me before I go.

For new families, my books before Tasmania are unfortunately now full, so I’m unable to take on any additional new clients before I leave. If you need support sooner, though, please reach out — I’m very happy to point you towards some trusted practitioners who may be able to help.

It’s going to be a wonderfully full six weeks — lots of learning, lots of growth, lots of family time… and hopefully LOTS of wombats. 😂💛

🏡 Welcome to our new TEPC location!

We’re officially settled into our new home at 67 College Road, Karana Downs, and I thought I’d give you a little video tour so you know exactly what to expect when you come for your appointment. 💛

In the video, I’ll show you where you’re going, where to park, and our new dedicated clinic space — plus you’ll spot our very enthusiastic TEPC welcoming committee: 🐾 Honey the Cocker Spaniel and Lucky the Dalmatian! 😂

There’s still a little more to come outside, with additional fencing and landscaping happening soon, but inside, our new clinic space is ready to go.

And I have to say, I am really loving working from home again while still having a completely separate, dedicated space for TEPC. It’s comfortable, private and gives me so much more flexibility to support families.

I can’t wait to welcome you here! 🥰

Yesterday was one of those days where you look around at the end and think... wow, I actually got through a LOT! 🙌

I spent the entire day in an online business intensive with the incredible , and my sole focus was tackling my never-ending clinic move to-do list.

There has been so much more involved than simply moving locations!

✔️ Updating my clinic address across all systems
✔️ Changing my Cliniko settings
✔️ Notifying existing clients
✔️ Updating my website and business listings
✔️ Working through all the admin that comes with relocating a healthcare practice
✔️ Reapplying with every private health insurer I'm registered with (which is a much bigger job than I anticipated!)

Having an entire day blocked out to work on the business—without being pulled in a hundred different directions—was exactly what I needed.

Even more valuable was having Chenae there to bounce ideas off, troubleshoot problems, celebrate the wins, and occasionally let me vent when another admin hurdle appeared! 😂

Sometimes as small business owners we think we need to do everything ourselves, but having someone in your corner who understands the challenges of running a business can make all the difference.

🚚 WE'RE MOVING! 🏡

Well... we're moving again! 🤣

I'm hoping this will be the final move for a very, very long time!

As of today, The Early Parenting Collective is officially operating from our brand-new clinic at:

📍 67 College Road, Karana Downs

After New Life Midwifery sadly closed their doors and the property was sold, I had to decide what was next for TEPC. After a lot of thought, I made the decision to transform our separate granny flat into a dedicated clinic space.

What started as a storage area and occasional accommodation for family has now become a beautiful, private clinic where I can continue supporting families.

One of the biggest benefits of making this move is that it allows me to keep my consultation fees stable by avoiding significant commercial rental costs. It also gives me greater flexibility to offer urgent appointments and, where possible, additional clinic days when families need them most.

A huge thank you goes to .projects who absolutely smashed the concreting for us. 👏

They transformed what was once a very ordinary space into easy off-street parking with safe, accessible pathways leading right to the clinic. The quality of their workmanship has been incredible, and I couldn't be happier with the result. If you're looking for someone who takes real pride in their work, I can't recommend them highly enough.

There are still a few finishing touches to come (landscaping is next! 🌱), but I'm so excited to start welcoming families into this new space.

Thank you to every family who has supported me through another move and another chapter of this business. Your trust means more than you'll ever know, and I can't wait to continue caring for you from our new home.

This is one the best business conferences around! I’ve only missed a few since they started and not by choice! I’m looking forward to this years one with a great line up of speakers and lots of connections with other business owners and lots of learning, fun and laughter. Definitely worth the investment if you run a small business 💖

Oooph... when your mentoring workbook is looking a little rough around the edges (okay... *a LOT* rough 😂), you know it’s almost time to start a fresh one for the next six months!

I’ve been doing business mentoring with Chenae Carey | Intuitive Business Mentor for what honestly feels like forever, and I genuinely don’t think I could run my business without it. The mentoring itself is invaluable, but so is this little workbook.

It holds everything—my goals, monthly check-ins, income tracking, endless pages of ideas and notes (which, by this point, are usually completely full!), and somehow manages to keep all the chaos in my brain in one place.

The next six months are shaping up to be HUGE.

✨ Hopefully our final premises move (more on that soon!)
✨ Welcoming a new student.
✨ Launching my new website and online course platform (fingers crossed for late August/early September!).
✨ Two big trips.
✨ Training days and conferences.
✨ A new schooling adventure for my youngest, who starts with BlendEd QLD in Term 3.
✨ And, hopefully, by the end of July, my second-born will officially be driving. 😳

When I write it all down like that... phew! It’s a lot.

But that’s exactly why I love having regular mentoring. It gives me the space to step back, plan intentionally, celebrate the wins, adjust when things don’t go to plan, and keep moving forward instead of feeling overwhelmed.

Here’s to the next six months! I can’t wait to see what they bring.

That was one SUPER productive day! 🚗💨

I’ve just wrapped up a full-day online business intensive with my incredible business mentor and I absolutely loved it.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the in-person intensives too, but there was something magical about staying home, wearing my PJs, drinking cups of coffee, and staying focused on one project all day long.

I may have started the day with slightly delusional expectations that my course would be completely finished and ready to launch by 5pm... 😂

Realistically, I knew that wasn't going to happen.

What I did gain was so much clarity.

✨ I worked out how long each module is actually going to take to create (spoiler alert: much longer than I originally thought!).

✨ I mapped out pricing options to make the course accessible for families.

✨ I refined how the course will be delivered so parents can either work through the entire program or jump to the sections that are most relevant to their family and situation.

✨ I completed the content for the Intro Module and Module 1, which feels like a huge milestone and means this course is now really starting to come to life.

And honestly, that's exactly how it should be.

Because the course is built around what I'm calling The Tongue-Tie Roadmap.

Just like any road trip, there isn't one fixed path.

You can take a U-turn.
You can reverse.
You can revisit the same section multiple times.
Or you can take a completely different exit altogether.

The goal isn't to tell families what decision to make.

It's to help them navigate the journey, understand their options, and make the decision that feels right for them and their child.

From here, the plan is to dedicate one day each week to course creation so everything is ready to go when my new website and learning platform launch.

For now, here's a little sneak peek at the roadmap that's been taking shape behind the scenes. 💕

And to everyone who has already shared their experiences, thank you. I've been reading every comment. I haven't forgotten about you, and I'll be coming back to respond properly soon. Your experiences are helping shape this course in ways that will benefit so many other families.

This Friday I’m spending the entire day in an online business intensive with my incredible business mentor,

From 9:30am until 5pm, my focus will be on continuing to build something I have dreamed about creating for a long time — The Tongue-Tie Roadmap.

This course is being designed for parents of babies and toddlers with tongue ties, lip ties and buccal ties. But unlike many courses, its purpose isn't to convince families to release or not release.

Its purpose is to provide balanced, evidence-informed information so families can make the decision that is right for their child.

For some families, a release feels like an easy decision.
For others, it's a decision that comes after weeks or months of questions, research and uncertainty.
And for some families, the answer is a firm "no" — but they still want to understand what to watch for, how to support their child's development, and what options are available.

I want this course to answer the questions parents wish someone had answered for them.

So I'd love your help.
