IMPORTANCE ANNOUCEMENT:
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Mary Kay has shut down it's Australia and New Zealand Operations effective immediately.
We received an email this afternoon stating that after an in-depth evaluation of the markets, they feel the market is such that they can not foresee a sustainable future in Aust and NZ. MK is still operating in other countries
Therefore the website is no longer open and no more new orders are able to be placed for new stock with only our own inventories now available.
Mary Kay has been a sisterhood that I loved being part of for nearly 7 years. I especially feel for the many consultants and directors who ran their Mary Kay businesses as their full time income. It is a very very sad day for many many people and their families.
I am grateful for all the opportunities MK has given me to be part of your lives, to share your stories, to help you however I could. Sometimes that was never about the products it was about people.
I felt MK gave me the avenue to somehow make the world a better place for everyone. I think it gave me a time to celebrate the joy of life and to rethink it, question it, with all of you. How great it was or was not, to talk about what we had accomplished or what we could accomplish with just some help from each other.
I also feel like this closure is giving us all an opportunity to start over or give us a chance of a new beginning. No matter how things went yesterday, or last year, we always have the capacity to try again and change for the better. I guess this is a refresher, a chance for regenerationβnot just materially, but spiritually.
I think we should celebrate this closure by committing to a special act of kindness for someone who needs it more than you. It is easy enough to say you are thankful; it is far better to show it by doing a kind deed, something that you did not do yesterday. Not because someone is forcing you. Not because someone suggests it. But simply because your inner kindness, your soul, wants to express its thanks for being born and alive. Such acts of kindness always give me great pleasure and this is part of what MK allowed me to do. So watch out it could be you in the firing line today. To me a random act of kindness is a true beginning of a life of meaning.
I also want to say thanks to all my family, friends and customers for all your support over the years. Sometime soon I will gather with you all so we can have fun together and laugh, remember good times and continue something meaningful together. A relationship that will be remembered forever because you never know how much time we have. I love π you all so much and I am grateful for every moment with you all.
Today is indeed a sad day but I feel so grateful to have been apart of this company and to have met you all.
