I am delighted to offer this next women’s gathering as someone who has always loved trees - being with them, climbing them, hiding under them for shade, and yes hugging them 🤭

I have been making tree of life shadow boxes since .. well I can’t remember. Maybe I was first inspired by my love for Enid Blyton’s The Enchanted Wood and the Magic Faraway Tree book series as a child. But definitely by the many children I have worked with over the years and more recently by my own children - one a fearless tree climber who has given me shakey leg syndrome as a mother, and the other who has cried at seeing the beautitul trees cut down in our neighbourhood due to development 🌳 💗 🌳

Dedicating time to creating a tree is a wonderful way to tap into your true nature, find grounding and wholeness. And doing it in circle with other women coupled with a nourishing yoga practice provides opportunity for deeper connection and creative expression.

As part of my current Sadhana, I have made a commitment to radically embrace and embody the following:

✨ I commit to taking responsibility for myself.

✨ I will celebrate your unique beauty and gifts.

✨ I will not hold myself back to fit in and I will support you to do the same.

These were the commitments that most called to me from the wisdom school. The ones that when I read them aloud stirred up inside of me intense feelings of joy, excitement, longing as well as dread and fear. They are the ones that feel like a calling from my soul, the ones that feel like signposts for the way forward and the way home 💓

Something has been stirred up for sure 🪄 And I enter the day with greater reverence and devotion to the power of words and the sisterhood.

A reminder today that your no is sacred, powerful and protective.

Reclaim it in every direction that you turn in life. Listen for the no that comes from the intelligence of the body (not the mind). Then watch your life change for the better.

And if you are an excessive people pleaser like I used to be, maybe buy a shirt that says no as a visual reminder 🤭

Happy Mothers Day to all of the amazing women providing mothering and caretaking in family and community 💓

May you have the space and support to explore who you are beyond your mothering and caretaking roles.

May you be surrounded by women who uplift and inspire you to be who you truly are.

May you strive for progress and a deeper connection with yourself over perfection and external validation.

May you feel so safe in your body and in the world around you that you remember how to dance, play and smile again.

This weekend, I was pulled out of my busy stressed out mind and deep into the magical and meditative world of mandala.

With the mind (finally) in rest mode, my creative pull came through with clear guidance and instructions on how I would bring to life this “prosperity” mandala. Create with your left hand it said (crazy - I am right handed and this was my first mandala!). Now allow the right hand to assist you here. Fix this mistake up. Leave that mistake - you need reminders that mistakes are ok. Use one colour for now. Now add another. Stop painting now and go home. Now wake up (at 3am 😅) and keep going.

I am so glad that I was able to switch my mind off, otherwise I might not have trusted the process! It has been truly invaluable for guiding me towards the principles for greater prosperity in my life - calm the mind; lean more into my creative side to lead the way; take more risks without fixating on the final product or getting stuck on making mistakes or errors; know when to pause and when to continue; let things unfold naturally and organically. This is what creates beauty. This is what creates prosperity!

Venturing into the wilderness with the babes the other day offered all of us a powerful blueprint for life: be brave, slow down, and seek support and guidance along the way.

It really is a solid blueprint applicable across the lifespan - not just in childhood but throughout adulthood too.

Beloved community of women ✨

Please join me for a special yoga circle together on the grass under the light of the moon this Wednesday evening 6pm in Park Ridge.

It’s a powerful time to release what no longer serves you and/or what was never yours to carry. And yoga is one of the many tools which we can use to shine the light on this “darkness” so that we can release and let it go and return to our radiant selves full of life, vitality and possibilty.

Cost for the class is $12 pp which includes yoga mat and a light refreshment at the mat. Come as you are maybe with a shawl or blankie in hand as it is getting a bit cooler in the evenings 🌬️
