Christine Johnson is an Accredited Practising Dietitian working with Precise and in her own private practice, and is passionate about evidence-based nutrition and busting nutrition myths. ✨

^I love translating the latest research into practical, real-world advice that actually helps people feel and function better.

My passion for research led me to complete a systematic review titled:
“Micronutrient requirements for stem cell transplantation patients >100 days post-transplant and during graft-versus-host disease.”

🔬 What did we find?
• Vitamin D deficiency is prevalent after stem cell transplantation
• Calcium intake from food may be consumed less
• While the impact of supplementation on outcomes is still unclear, monitoring vitamin D levels and dietary calcium intake is essential — and supplementation may be needed if levels are low.

This adds to the growing list of at-risk groups for vitamin D deficiency, including adults over 65. Even with sun exposure, ageing skin produces less vitamin D, and reduced appetite can mean less calcium-rich foods — both vital for bone health and osteoporosis prevention.

🍽️ I truly believe food brings people together. It’s where connection, culture, and health meet. That’s why I promote real food first, supported by products like Enprocal, which can be easily added to meals and foods to help boost vitamin D and calcium intake when needed — without overcomplicating nutrition.

Because good nutrition should be simple, social, and science backed. 💛
