It has been years since I have had my ears pierced. Maybe possibly 20 years or so. It's not that I didn't like my ears pierced, it was the fact that I have issues changing them. Just like I have issues with doing up my bra every day like an general population of able-bodied women, I have issues with changing my earnings. So I got frustrated with this task and let my holes close up.

Then for some reason my youngest would start buying earnings from the mothers day stall each year. But I would say that because that I was working in the industry with high behaviours at times, I did not want anything on my body that could be grabbed and could cause injury on the job. I however say when I change jobs, I will get my ears pierced again.

So as promised to my children and myself, before my physio appointment this morning, as tomorrow is my last shift as a Disability Support Worker, my daughter took me to get my ears pierced as a mothers day gift.
