There is a body you cannot see, yet you feel it all the time.
It’s the space that tingles when someone speaks the truth, or moves in alignment with it. The pull in your chest when something feels off. The quiet hum beneath your skin when you’re deeply aligned.
This is the subtle body: a living field of energy, breath, & awareness.
In the trantric tradition, it is said that prana- your life force- flows through thousands of energy channels called nadis. Like rivers beneath the surface of the earth, these subtle pathways carry vitality, emotion, memory, & potential.
Two of the most important nadis spiral alongside the spine:
🌙 Ida - The lunar channel: cooling, receptive, introspective, & feminine.
☀️ Pingala - The solar channel: warming, expressive, active, & masculine.
They weave around one another like a double helix, crisscrossing from the root to the brow as they dance around the central channel, sushumna.
When Ida & Pingala are in harmony, energy flows with ease.
The breath becomes balanced.
The mind grows quiet.
The body becomes a bridge between earth & sky.
In practice, we learn to listen for the places where that flow has been interrupted- where a nadi quietly whispers, There’s something here.
Through breath, movement, & deep awareness, we begin to open those pathways. This isn’t about forcing an awakening, it’s about creating the conditions for it. As the channels clear, Prana can once again move like water, & the body can become the temple it has always been.
The subtle body isn’t something to believe in. It’s something to experience.
