Hello wild hearts, I am jumping back online to show my face and say hello after more than a year’s break from this online space…. Hi 👋 ☺️❤️
This time has been full of beauty as I birthed my daughter and myself as a Mother and since that precious meeting Earthside we have been growing together on this land that we call home. This journey has been a deeply personal one, full of learning, connection and the sweetest love I have ever known. We are doing well and our hearts are woven together so strong. I will not be sharing photos or many words about my daughter online, this is a conscious choice that every parent is allowed to make, but I can tell you this… she is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life and the dearest treasure of my heart! 🥹❤️
I was laughing thinking of what photo to share here as I never take selfies of myself these days so I went outside to one of our wood piles and snapped this photo, it feels symbolic. This is a time in my life of “chopping wood and carrying water”. Simple, routine and being in service to my child day to day. It is also filled with such wonder, deep insight, growth and magic when I am present to it. Motherhood is wild! I am in awe of mothers all around the world… deep bow to you all!
Moving forward I want to intentionally use this online space to share our offerings with our existing Wilderness Within community and welcome more women into this sisterhood. We are keeping things small and gentle here for now as I am proud to say that mothering is my priority, my child will only be this little once and I want to soak her up! And it also feels really good to keep tending the fire of Wilderness Within and my passions through our offerings of seasonal drum making workshops, HeartSong singing circles and we have a one day nature connection event planned for Spring. I will share more details here soon and for now I am sending love from my heart to yours on this glorious sunny day!
With love, Laura Jayne xoxo p.s I have probably sung this song “In your bones” by Olivia Fern 3000 times since my daughter was born. It has been an anchor, a prayer, a blessing. May we all know in our bones we are home on this Earth! ❤️
