This Children’s Week, we’re celebrating those little voices and the joy of connecting, learning and making friends.

Ever wondered how to actually read your hearing test? 👂✨

If you’ve ever looked at an audiogram and felt completely lost, you’re not alone! It’s actually pretty simple once you break it down:

The Volume (Side): Soft sounds live at the very top, and they get louder as you go down.
The Pitch (Top): Low pitches (like "ah, ee, oo" sounds) are on the left, moving all the way to high pitches (like "f, s, sh" sounds) on the right.
The Ears: Red circles represent your right ear, and blue crosses are for your left.

The golden rule? As long as those circles and crosses stay above the 20 decibel line, your hearing is within normal limits!

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks at Ears Plus! 💗

We went along to the Phonak launch to see their new Phonak Audéo EON hearing aids. What stayed with us was the reminder that hearing clearly isn’t just about sound. It’s about being part of the conversation, catching the little moments and feeling confident when you’re out and about. The new hearing aids are designed to adjust automatically and help reduce background distractions, so the voices you care about are easier to hear.

We also visited our local Rotary Club Burwood to talk about hearing health. We loved the chance to meet people in our community, answer questions and have an open conversation about something that affects so many of us.

It’s weeks like this that remind us why we love what we do. 👂💗

We’re excited to be exhibiting at this year’s Aged & Disability Expo Australia on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
