Low sugar pasture
Ths beautiful stuff from one of our fave farms βοΈ Rye free. Clover free. The hairy critics keep giving excellent reviews. Lots of complicated horses doing great on this hay.
ESC 7% Starch 1.6% WSC 11% Protein 7.4% Horse DE 9. $29
β
Mixed meadow
Another great laminitis safe option. Similar to the meadow we had last year and quite like the low sugar pasture, with just a touch of very very occasional clover and the possibility of a rare rogue bit of rye (I haven't seen any yet).
ESC 7.2% Starch 1.5 WSC 11% Protein 7% Horse DE 9.07 $29
β
π Blend - Lucerne meadow mix
20% lucerne mixed with low sugar mixed meadow. Very popular and tasty.
Laminitis safe if your horse is ok with lucerne.
ESC 7.2% Starch 1.5 WSC 11% Protein 7% Horse DE 9.07 $29.50
βοΈ Charlie's Grass Mix.
Lovely meadow hay. Soft and tasty. Big heavy bales. Gets the thumbs up from fussier eaters. Mainly fescue with some cocksfoot and rye. Occassional tiny clover. Low sugar but not recommended for those sensitive to laminitis, except maybe for owners very experienced juggling quantities and thresholds for their horses
ESC 10%, Starch 0.7%, WSC 12.4%, Protein 13%, Horse DE 8.85 $29.50
β
Finecut Rhodes
Good reviews from the hairy critics, so we've locked in several months supply. This is the A-grade fine-cut hay for this Qld grower, who is supplying a large number of happy Sydney stores, racecourses and studs.. Crazy low in sugar - I got it tested twice to make sure no errors!
ESC - O.2% Starch - 1.6% WSC 2% Protein 12.9% Horse DE 7 $29
β
Tige's Tasty Teff
Hasn't Tige knocked it out of the park this year? Big heavy bales (average 27kg), and beautiful soft green hay. Ponies and some other hairy/fluffy/cuddly critics are loving it.
ESC 6% Starch 0.8% WSC 11% Protein 15% Horse DE 8.6 $31
π Rye
Super quality. W**d free, big bales. Same as previous but now tested
WSC 12.3% Starch 0.2% WSC 26.5% Protein 7.2%
$25
β
π Compressed teff
Even the fussiest eaters give this 5 stars for tastiness and quality. ESC 6.9%, Starch 0.2%, WSC 7.5%, Protein 13.6% $29.90
π Prime lucerne
Beautifully green, big heavy bales with lots of leaf $29.50
π 'Easy-chew' lucerne
Prime lucerne in shorter lengths, lots of leaf, short stalk. Biscuits fall apart easily but it's very easy for the horses to eat. Small squares - $31
Packs of 14 can be forklift loaded into floats, trailers, ute trays, trucks etc. for all hay except the prime lucerne, rye, teff, Charlie's grass and fine-cut rhodes, which is in packs of 21. Compressed not in packs.
