Today marks the end of a chapter I will never forget.
Today was my final day of university supervision and, with that, I have officially completed my counselling degree. 🤍
I thought I would have been writing these words months ago.
But life happened.
The road changed. Things outside of my control delayed the finish line, and there were moments when I had to accept that my journey wasn't going to unfold according to the timeline I had planned.
And maybe that has been one of the greatest lessons of all.
Life is not linear. Growth is not linear. Healing is not linear. Success is not linear.
Sometimes the road is clear, and sometimes the storm gets heavy and the hail comes down. Sometimes you move quickly, and sometimes all you can do is put one foot in front of the other.
But you keep going.
Because a delay is not a full stop.
It doesn't mean you've failed. It doesn't mean you've fallen behind. And it certainly doesn't mean you won't get there.
So if you're reading this while standing somewhere in the middle of your own storm - studying, changing careers, rebuilding, healing, raising a family, chasing a dream, or simply trying to hold everything together - please keep going.
Your timeline doesn't have to look like anyone else's.
The road can bend.
The plan can change.
You can stop, breathe, regroup and begin again.
Just don't mistake a difficult season for the end of your story.
Today, I can finally say: I made it.
And I'm proud of myself. Proud that I kept showing up. Proud that when life changed the timeline, I didn't give up on the destination.
Now I wait for that certificate to arrive… and close this chapter with a very full heart.
Grateful for every person who supported me along the way, and incredibly excited for what comes next. 🤍
Whatever season you're in, keep going. Your finish line may be closer than you think.
