The Committee report is actually of little importance to the overall vote. The whole Senate votes on this Bill, not just the senators who sat on the Committee.

So now we need to focus on where the votes might actually be moved.

Labor are the Government. We know their senators will vote YES.

The Greens oppose the Bill and will vote NO.

One Nation are harder to call either way.

So the pressure now needs to be on the Liberals, Nationals, One Nation, independents and the rest of the crossbench.

There is a list of senators, their email addresses and phone numbers in a previous post. Use it.

Call them. Email them. Ask them directly how they intend to vote. Tell them why this Bill cannot pass. Make sure they understand that disabled people, families, workers and voters are watching.

The Committee report is done.

Now we work on the actual vote.

🚨UPDATE ON NDIS BILL 🚨

SUBMISSIONS ARE RE-OPEN! If you missed your opportunity due to the ridiculous 10-day time frame to get a submission in for the Consultation intoThe Securing the NDIS for Future Generations Bill (bit of a joke name if you ask me), the Committee is accepting submissions until the 10th July 2026.

Please take the time to send the Committee your thoughts on the Bill.
It doesn't have to be long.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
Stick to some short points and if you are a clinician or provider, give de-identified examples of the real impact of this Bill.

Let's go team! We already smashed them with more than 5000 submissions. Let's show them even more.
For context, the Coalition's consultation on Independent Assessments got about 400 submissions. Show Labor they can't kick us around.

In a perfect world, SP Specialist Inclusion Services would not exist.

In a perfect world, neurodiversity would be understood, accepted and embraced. Our services would not be needed to educate, guide, advocate and empower the young people and their families that we work with.

In a perfect world, we wouldn’t be part of the journey that our families face; it is challenging, yet uplifting, emotional yet rewarding, overwhelming yet inspiring. It’s hard work but a privilege.

Whilst the world is not perfect for the beautiful families we work with, they certainly make ours pretty perfect with their kind words.
