Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026 🖤💛❤️💙💚🤍
5-12 July

National NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a time for us all to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

This year, the theme: 50 Years of Deadly, marks a milestone of 5 decades of NAIDOC celebration and honours all people who have contributed to building this movement. It is about celebrating the strength it took to get here, and how far communities have come.

MindMap is proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026!

✨MindMap Service Spotlight✨

Youth Law Centre ACT is an awesome service providing specialist legal support to young people.

They can provide support to navigate many different challenges related to the law such as discrimination, work rights, consent, family safety, driving and car accidents, just to name a few.

If you are looking for help, even if you're not sure your issue is a legal one, reach out to YLC and speak to the team. If they can't help with your particular challenge, they will work to refer you to other supports. 🧡

For more information, visit their website at https://www.legalaidact.org.au/what-we-do/youth-law-centre

All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026!

Reconciliation Australia says: "National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia."

All In is a call for everyone to commit wholeheartedly to Reconciliation, and to take action to make change towards advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights.

Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

MindMap is proud to be All In for Reconciliation!

The artwork for this campaign is by renowned Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey, who applied his distinctive style to create a colourful and optimistic visual representation of people from all walks of life being ‘all in’ to make change.

IDAHOBIT is the International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination, celebrated on May 17th every year.

MindMap ACT is proud to support and celebrate LGBTQIA+ young people and communities, on IDAHOBIT and every other day too!

Whether it is hosting a morning tea, wearing a rainbow pin, showing support to someone in your life or standing up against discrimination, committing to inclusion makes a big difference.

🏥🩹 International Nurses Day 🩹🏥

Today is a day for gratitude and celebration of Nurses, and their incredible contributions to our communities. Did you know that nurses make up the largest sector in the health workforce with over 450,000 nurses in Australia?

Nursing is a diverse, broad and essential profession. We want to give a shout out to all nurses and their contribution to the health and mental health of those they support.
