Why is assessment so important?
Because skin concerns rarely exist in isolation.
We look at the whole picture - pigmentation, redness, sensitivity, dehydration, and changes in texture can all be influenced by underlying factors such as inflammation, barrier function, previous treatments, environmental exposure, and overall skin behaviour.
Assessment allows for a more informed and considered approach — where treatments are selected based on how the skin presents and what it is likely to respond to appropriately over time.
