💜 Step Up for Zavier – Our Little Warrior 💜

Hi everyone,

We are taking part in Step Up for Epilepsy to raise awareness and much-needed funds for epilepsy, a condition that has been a huge part of our beautiful boy Zavier’s life.

Zavier is our amazing 10-year-old little warrior. His epilepsy journey began when he was just 6 months old, when he was diagnosed with West Syndrome. Since then, epilepsy has continued to be a huge challenge for him and our family.

Zavier lives with complex disabilities and a rare genetic condition, and he experiences severe and difficult-to-control seizures. He has undergone countless hospital admissions, procedures, medications and treatments in the hope of giving him a better quality of life. He also had a VNS implanted in 2023 to help manage his seizures.

Despite everything his little body has been through, Zavier continues to amaze us every single day. He is the strongest little boy we know. 💙

Zavier is non-verbal, unable to walk and uses a wheelchair, but that never stops him from enjoying the things he loves — being outdoors, spending time with his cousins, cars, dirt bikes, dinosaurs and, of course, watching Bluey. 🦕🏎️💙

Epilepsy doesn't just affect the person having the seizures. It affects the entire family. There are the hospital admissions, sleepless nights, constant medication schedules, fear of the next seizure and the uncertainty of what the future may hold.

We are stepping up for Zavier and for every other child and family living with epilepsy.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for their birthday wishes, gifts and also to those that came to Zaviers birthday celebration yesterday at Scitech, Zavier had an amazing day!! A very special thankyou goes out to Amber, Laura and the rest of the team at Scitech, their generosity is very much appreciated, it made Zaviers10th birthday extra special and a day to remember always ❤️🎉🎁🎂

Hey everyone,
I hope you're all doing well.
We need some birthday ideas for Mr. Zavier, who will be turning the big 10!
We want to make this birthday extra special. Not only is turning 10 a huge milestone, but after everything he has been through this past year, it's a birthday we weren't sure we'd get to celebrate. There was a time when we didn't know if he would make it, so having him here with us, still fighting and proving everyone wrong, is something truly worth celebrating.
While Zavier still has a long road ahead and is not completely out of the woods yet, we want to make as many amazing memories as possible. The reality is that we don't know what the future holds, which makes celebrating his life, his strength, and his incredible spirit even more important.
So we're reaching out for ideas! If you have any suggestions for making this birthday unforgettable, please share them with us. We'd love to hear your ideas and help make Zavier's 10th birthday the most special one yet.

Zavier's new favourite toy, it goes everywhere with him, he was fast asleep, we woke up just to grab it and then went back to sleep.

Big update on the last 3 weeks — it has honestly been a lot. Between moving house, unpacking, hospital stays with Zavier, and trying to juggle everything else, life has been pretty full on.
Thankfully there has also been some good news, with Zavier slowly improving and responding well to treatment. We are just taking everything one day at a time and hoping things start settling down soon 💜💚
