Every pet owner — farm or suburban — should think about what’s in their animal emergency kit. 🐾

Last night gave me a bloody good reminder of how quickly “something’s not right” can happen.

My boy suddenly wasn’t himself — restless, licking his lips, drooling and wanting to be right beside me. And when you know your dog, you KNOW when something is off.

Activated charcoal can be incredibly useful for certain toxin exposures, when advised it’s appropriate, and it’s something worth having in your emergency kit.

Thankfully, my boy is okay. 🖤

Thank God for that — and for having a few useful remedies on hand when they’re actually appropriate. 🌿🐾
