🌙 What’s On This Week | Week 10

As we reach the final week of Term 2, we conclude our term-long exploration of Allah the Creator with a very special lesson: Allah Made the Universe. ✨

This week, children will wonder, explore, and reflect on the vast universe Allah has created — from the sun, moon, and stars to the planets and skies above us. Through hands-on learning, discussion, stories, and play, we will encourage children to recognise the signs of Allah’s greatness all around them.

📖 “Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth are signs for people of understanding.” (Qur’an 3:190)

🔤 Letter of the Week: ش (Sheen)

🌱 A beautiful final week of learning, discovery, and reflection as we wrap up a term filled with awe, curiosity, and gratitude for Allah’s creation.

Are you homeschooling or preparing your child for Prep next year? Semester 2 enrolments are now open, with additional places available in Fawkner and Deer Park. Have children aged 5–10? An additional Foundation class spot has opened on Saturday mornings — get in quick!

🌱 Lesson of the Week: Allah the Creator – Allah Made the Plants

This week, our little learners got their hands dirty planting seeds and discovering the beauty of Allah’s creation. Through play, observation and wonder, they explored how Allah brings life from something as small as a seed.

As the holidays begin, continue the lesson at home by helping your child care for their seedling and noticing the plants, leaves and flowers around them. Sometimes the biggest conversations about Allah’s creation begin with something as simple as a single leaf. 🍃

May Allah nurture the seeds of faith, curiosity and gratitude in our children’s hearts. 🤍

🌱 Week 9 Photo Dump | Allah the Creator: Allah Made the Plants 🌱

What a beautiful week of discovery, wonder and hands-on learning.

Our children explored Allah’s creation through sensory play, messy experiences, planting seeds and observing the incredible way life begins and grows. By the end of the week, many left feeling a special sense of responsibility and care for the seedlings they planted, excited to take them home and watch them flourish.

Our letter of the week was س, perfectly timed with سحاب (Sahaab) — cloud ☁️. As we learned about plants, we also reflected on the role clouds play in bringing rain, a reminder of how intentionally Allah has designed every part of creation to work together.

As we head into the winter break, continue the learning and conversations at home. Encourage your child to care for their seedling and observe the changes as it grows. During walks, drives or visits to the park, invite them to point out their favourite plants, leaves, flowers or seeds and wonder together about the wisdom and beauty behind Allah’s creation.

Looking for a simple way to continue the conversation? Bring a leaf home from outdoors and use it for painting, printing or tracing activities. These moments of reflection help cement the lessons we’ve explored and continue to nurture the seeds we hope are growing in their hearts.

✨ Reflection is where learning deepens. Just as a seed needs care to grow, so too do the seeds of faith, wonder and gratitude.

📚 Enrolments for Term 3 are now open, with limited remaining places available across:
• Playgroup
• Preschool
• Foundation
• Our new Girls Youth Group

All enrolments can be completed via our newly designed website, and we welcome any questions via DM or email.

May Allah continue to strengthen our community, bless our families, and nurture the hearts of our littlest Muslims. 🤍

✨ What’s On This Week | Week 9 ✨

This week, our little learners will be discovering the beauty of Allah’s creation through the theme “Allah Made the Plants.” 🌱🌷🍃 As we observe the world around us, we’ll nurture wonder, gratitude, and an appreciation for the signs of Allah found in nature.

Our Letter of the Week is س, explored through playful, hands-on experiences woven into our classroom rhythm. Alongside this, we’ll continue building school readiness skills through circle time, following instructions, fine motor activities, independence, and learning together as a community.

We can’t wait to see what this week of exploration and discovery brings, in shaa Allah. 🤍

🌿 What’s On This Week | Term 2, Week 8 🌿

This week, our Preschool and Foundations classes will be exploring Allah the Creator – Allah Made the Animals. Through stories, discussion, play, exploration and hands-on experiences, children will reflect on the beauty and diversity of Allah’s creation.

Alongside our Letter of the Week, we will continue building important school readiness skills through our daily classroom rhythm. Circle time, listening and following instructions, working together, developing fine motor skills, practising pencil grip, and completing meaningful craft projects are all carefully woven into each session.

Sometimes it may look like “just play” - but this is where the learning takes root. At Ummah Jameelah, play is not the outcome; it is the method. Through gentle, child-centred experiences, children develop a love of learning, confidence in themselves, and a connection to their faith in ways that feel natural, joyful and meaningful. 🧡
