✨ WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK ✨

Assalam alaikum dear families

This week, as we continue our Stories of the Prophets, our children will be learning about Prophet Isa ibn Maryam (AS).

We’ll explore his miraculous birth to Maryam (AS) and some of the incredible miracles Allah granted him, including bringing a bird made from clay to life by Allah’s permission. 🕊️

A beautiful opportunity to reinforce with our little ones that all power belongs to Allah, and that the miracles of Prophet Isa (AS) were signs given to him by Allah. 🤍

ك for كلب (kalb – dog) 🐕

📌 Term 4 Reminder
Term 4 fees are due by 11 September. Please ensure fees are paid in full by the due date, or contact your facilitator beforehand if you need to arrange instalments. Please send through a screenshot of your payment receipt so we can update our records.

🌸 Week in Review at Ummah Jameelah

Alhamdulillah, another beautiful week of learning, play and connection across our programs. 💛

🐳 Our preschoolers continued our Stories of the Prophets journey, learning about Prophet Yunus (AS) and the importance of turning to Allah, making dua and trusting Him through difficult moments.

🖊️ Our Arabic letter of the week was ق for قلم (qalam), meaning pen.

🏡 Continue the learning at home:
✨ Retell the story of Prophet Yunus (AS) together and practise his beautiful dua: La ilaha illa Anta, Subhanaka, inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen.
✨ Go on a ق treasure hunt around the home. Look for the letter in Arabic books or practise writing ق together using pencils, playdough or a sensory tray.

☀️ Spring has sprung! Our Truganina Playgroup enjoyed some creative sensory play in the warm morning sunshine this week. 🌷

Over at Adeela’s Playgroup in Deer Park, our littlest learners dressed up for Book Week and enjoyed a special DIY workshop, crafting their very own first books! 📚✂️

🌟 Week in Review 🌟

This week, our children explored the inspiring story of Prophet Musa (AS), learning from his courage, trust in Allah ﷻ and the many lessons found throughout his story. 🤍

📖 We continued practising Surah Al-Falaq, building confidence through repetition and recitation.

🔤 Our Arabic letter of the week was غ for غسالة (ghasala), washing machine!

🧪 Over at Adeela’s Playgroup, we celebrated Science Week! Our little learners made sensory bottles as a fun science experiment and explored some simple, exciting experiments families can try at home.

Another beautiful week of learning through stories, play and discovery, Alhamdulillah. 🌱✨

Keep the learning going at home by practising Surah Al-Falaq together and asking your child what they remember about Prophet Musa (AS). 🧡

🌿 WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK | STORIES OF THE PROPHETS 🌿

Assalam alaykum dear families

This week, we continue our Term 3 journey through Stories of the Prophets, learning about Prophet Musa (AS) 🥰

Through age-appropriate stories, conversations and activities, our children will explore moments from the life of Prophet Musa (AS) and the beautiful lessons we can take from his story. ✨

🔤 Arabic Letter of the Week:
غ for غسالة (ghasaalah) 🫧 Washing machine

📖 Please remember to bring your child’s Iqra book and continue practising at home throughout the week. Even a little regular practice makes a difference!

🎒 What to bring:
💧 Water bottle
🥪🍎 Healthy lunch
👕 A spare change of clothes in a plastic bag, just in case

⏰ A reminder that doors are locked 15 minutes after your child’s session begins, so please arrive on time.

🤧 Please keep your child home if they are unwell, and let us know if your child will be absent.

Join us for an evening of halal food, desserts, henna, face painting, local Islamic businesses and Playcentre fun for the kids. Tickets are open to the wider Melbourne Muslim community, so bring your family and friends! 🧡
