šŸ’™ Happy Father’s Day! šŸ’™

Today we celebrate all the wonderful dads, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles and father figures who fill children’s lives with love, laughter, encouragement and endless support.

Thank you for the cuddles, the stories, the silly games, the helping hands and for being there through every little milestone. 🄰

Wishing all the special father figures in our community a very Happy Father’s Day! 🌟

With love from all of us at The Hills Learning CentrešŸ’™

International Youth Day 2026, Theme: Different Contexts, Common Aspirations

International Youth Day 2026 recognizes that while young people’s lives are shaped by different national and local realities, their aspirations are remarkably similar. Across countries and communities, young people seek dignity, opportunity, meaningful participation, decent work, quality education, and a sustainable future.

This year’s theme places particular attention on young people living in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS), who often experience overlapping challenges linked to poverty, climate change, geographic isolation, limited economic opportunities, and unequal access to digital technologies. At the same time, these young people continue to demonstrate resilience, leadership, and innovation in advancing sustainable development within their communities and beyond.

WEAR JEANS ALL WEEK and bring in a donation to place in the container in the office!

Jeans for Genes Day is an annual fundraising event supporting research into childhood genetic diseases, with the 2026 Australian event held on Thursday 6 August.

Jeans for Genes Day is a charity campaign where people wear denim and donate to support medical research into genetic conditions affecting children. Funds raised primarily support the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) in Australia.

Why It Matters

1 in 20 children is born with a birth defect or genetic disease, including conditions such as cancer, cystic fibrosis, and metabolic disorders.

That’s 12 children every minute worldwide.

Donations fund gene therapy research and other breakthroughs aimed at turning ā€œincurableā€ into ā€œcurable.ā€
