One of the biggest misconceptions we hear in Speech Therapy is that alternative forms of communication like visual picture boards or signs will prevent a child from speaking verbally !

Research shows the exact opposite🧩✨

Giving a child a functional way to communicate reduces frustration immediately. Once their brain links the visual/sign to getting their needs met, it actually creates a bridge toward verbal language rather than replacing it💭⭐️

Communication comes first , Speech follows🚀
