We want to take a moment to say thank you to all the first responders - paramedics, firefighters, police officers, and emergency dispatchers - who show up when things are at their worst and people are at their most vulnerable.

Your work is often done under pressure, in uncertainty, and without knowing what you’re walking into, yet you keep going anyway. You bring calm in chaos, help in crisis, and care when it matters most. So much of what you do goes unseen or uncelebrated, but it makes a real difference in people’s lives every single day.

The RSV vaccine is free under the National Immunisation Program for:
* Adults aged 75 years and over
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over.

Men’s Health Rural Education Van (MHERV)
Men’s Health on the Monaro is getting a boost with the arrival in Cooma of the Men’s Health Rural Education Van on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March 2026 from 9:30am – 4:15 pm. The van will be staffed by a registered nurse who will spend ten minutes with each client checking blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol levels. The consultations are free
Although the focus is on men, women in the community can also receive the free 10-15 minute consultation. The van will be located in Centennial Park in front of the Cooma Visitors Centre. Members of the Rotary Club of Cooma will be in attendance outside the van to welcome community members to the van.
