Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) takes place every October. The aim of BCAM is to shine a light on the devastating impact breast cancer has on thousands of people in Australia.

Every day, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer – and every year, over 3,300 people (including 40 men) will die from this disease. That’s someone’s mother, father, sibling, friend or family member whose life has been tragically cut short.

Mental Health Month is held every October in New South Wales and is a time for individuals, communities, and organisations to come together to promote mental health and wellbeing. Led by Wayahead – Mental Health Association NSW, the campaign encourages open conversations about mental health, raises awareness, and provides opportunities for people to learn, connect, and support one another. Each year features a dedicated theme to guide activities, events, and discussions across the state, helping to highlight the importance of mental health in everyday life.
