Sunday Bonus: Reset & Prepare (10 minutes)

A gentle reset for the week ahead:
1) Choose outfits or key items for tomorrow
2) Fill water bottle / prep one snack
3) Pick ONE priority for Monday
4) Put one support where you’ll see it (note, alarm, visual)

Small prep = less stress.

DM this page if you want a personalised “Sunday reset” routine for your household.

Saturday Bonus: Visual Schedule of the Week

If your home feels chaotic, a simple “what happens when” plan can reduce meltdowns and decision fatigue.

Try this:
• Pick 3 anchors: wake up, after school/work, bedtime
• Add 1–2 key tasks to each (keep it short)
• Use the same words every time

If you’d like, DM me your typical week and I’ll suggest a simple visual routine you can start with.

Parent Coaching Friday: make the strategy easier (not the child “try harder”)

If a strategy only works on your “best day,” it’s too hard.

Try this quick check:
• Can it work when you’re tired?
• Can it work when your child is tired?
• Can it work with one reminder (not ten)?
• Does it reduce steps?

One simple upgrade:
Put the routine where the routine happens.
• Visual schedule on the bathroom door
• School checklist by the bag hook
• Snack choices photo on the fridge

DM this page with your toughest routine (mornings, bedtime, leaving the house) and I’ll suggest a simpler setup.

Kids Skills Thursday (Sensory-friendly tip)

When kids are dysregulated, “listening” is hard — first we help their body feel safe.

Try a 3-step “Regulate then Request”:
1) Connect: “I’m here. You’re having a hard time.”
2) Regulate: offer ONE sensory support (deep pressure hug, wall pushes, heavy blanket, chew/crunchy snack, quiet corner)
3) Request: ONE small step (not the whole task)

Example:
“Shoes on” becomes: sit down → one sock → breathe → second sock → shoes.

Want a personalised sensory plan for your child (and your household routines)? DM this page.

Midweek Reset (Adults): Overwhelm → Next step

If everything feels like too much, try this 3-step reset:

1) Brain dump (2 minutes): write it all down
2) Circle ONE: the most important or time-sensitive
3) Make it tiny: first step under 5 minutes

Examples:
• “NDIS paperwork” → open the email + screenshot what’s needed
• “House is a mess” → clear one chair
• “Appointment” → find the number + save it in contacts

If you want support building routines that actually stick (without burnout), DM this page.

What to Expect Tuesday: Your first OT session

If you’re wondering what happens in OT, here’s the usual flow:

1) A chat: what’s going well + what’s hard right now
2) Goals: we pick 1–3 priorities that matter day-to-day
3) Assessment: we look at skills, routines, sensory needs, and supports
4) Plan: simple strategies you can try straight away
5) Next steps: frequency, home supports, school supports (if relevant)

For kids: parent coaching is part of the session — you’ll leave with clear “what to do at home” steps.
For adults: we focus on real-life routines, energy, and participation.

Telehealth available.
DM this page if you’d like to know what OT could look like for your situation.

Caregiver Wins Monday

If today is heavy, aim for one “good enough” win — for you or your child.

Try this: pick ONE task and shrink it to a 2-minute version.
• “Breakfast” becomes: something safe + water
• “School prep” becomes: pack one item + shoes by the door
• “Homework” becomes: open the book + read one question
• “Shower” becomes: face + underarms + fresh clothes

Tiny steps count. Consistency beats intensity.

If you want, DM me what’s hardest this week and I’ll help you shrink it into a doable first step.
