There's nothing quite like good company and a decent brew to set you up for the day. Between the chat, the laughs and the catch up on all the local goings on, it's these simple moments that mean the most.

Keith's had himself a proper big week! ☕🐔

It started with a coffee catch up at Murphy's Coffee House alongside his good mate and footy buddy, Buzz Hatchman, always a top way to start the day. From there, Keith tried his luck with a few scratchies, and wouldn't you know it, he came away a winner! Bit of a lucky streak going on there.

Back home, it was time to check in on the girls, Keith's chickens, who are always waiting (rather impatiently) for their feed. Between the coffee, the company and the chooks, it's safe to say Keith's had himself a cracking week.

We love seeing our residents out enjoying their community, their mates and the simple things that make life good.

Did you know Yapunyah Lodge has been caring for Cunnamulla's community for well over two decades? 🏡

Yapunyah Lodge was originally run by Churches of Christ, who cared for the town's elders for 17 years before the high cost of operating in a remote area forced its closure in December 2020, at the time, it was operating at full capacity. For many local families, that closure meant something heartbreaking, having to leave Cunnamulla altogether to access aged care in Toowoomba, Charleville, or Roma, far from home, family and everything familiar.

The Cunnamulla community never stopped fighting for it back. In 2025, Yapunyah Lodge reopened its doors, and we're proud to be the ones carrying that legacy forward.

Some things are worth holding on to, and keeping our elders close to home is one of them.

Backing aged care and disability support in the bush is always at the heart of what we do.

We're proud to share this 7NEWS Toowoomba coverage, a great conversation about our plans for a new aged care facility right here in Cunnamulla. Regional and remote communities deserve access to quality care close to home, and we're excited about what this could mean for local families down the track.

We're honoured to have had Federal MP David Littleproud and Paroo Shire Mayor Suzette Beresford supporting us on this journey. Their backing means so much to our team as we work towards making this vision a reality for the Cunnamulla community.

Keith's been spending his afternoons building quite the reputation around Yapunyah Lodge, self-appointed general of the local pigeon squadron. 🕊️

"Training" might be a bit generous, in reality it's more a case of a few lucky pigeons who've worked out Keith's the best feed in town. Either way, he's out there most days, hand feeding his feathered mates, and they've well and truly clocked on.

It's a funny little routine, but there's something genuinely lovely about it too, a bit of fresh air, a bit of company, and a lot of cheek from both Keith and the pigeons.
