ACRS Community Services

ACRS Community Services We believe care should go beyond routine and clinical support - it should feel like home.

At ACRS, developing life skills is a core part of how we support each participant. Whether it is preparing a meal from scratch, planning a grocery list and completing the shop independently, or taking ownership of household routines, these are not supplementary activities. They are the foundation of a life led on one's own terms.

Each skill a participant develops builds the confidence to take on the next. That progression is deliberate, consistent, and shaped around what matters to each participant across our SIL homes.

If you are looking for an SIL provider where capacity building is part of daily life, get in touch with our team today.

At ACRS, personalised daily activity planning shapes how every day is run across our homes.

One of our participants recently did a gentle exercise session at home, using wrist weights and a small ball, with music playing in the background. Music and dance are things she really enjoys, and the team member supporting her built the session around that.

The difference it makes is visible. She is engaged, comfortable, and enjoying herself throughout. That is what happens when daily activities are shaped around the person rather than a fixed program.

This is the kind of day we work to create at our ACRS homes, and it is what we think good support looks like in practice.

If you would like to know more, we would love to hear from you.

If you are a support coordinator or family carer looking at SIL or SDA options in Darwin, this is a good time to get in touch.

ACRS has current vacancies at our homes across Wanguri, Wulagi, and Johnston. We encourage you to reach out directly so we can discuss specific support needs and determine if our environment is the right fit.

Our homes are set up for a range of support needs, including participants with mobility requirements, those needing high intensity care, and participants with complex daily living or behaviour support needs. Every vacancy is different, so the first conversation is always about what matters to your participant and whether what we have actually suits them.

Click the link below to see current vacancies, or get in touch and we will talk it through with you.

Continence support is a practical part of daily life. When it is not managed well, it affects confidence, dignity, and a person's willingness to leave the house. When it is managed properly, it removes a barrier.

Our assessment process is clear and consistent: referral intake, a signed service agreement, a five-day bladder and bowel chart, an appointment scheduled at a suitable time, and a written report delivered within two weeks. Telehealth appointments are also available.

What sets our service apart is that every participant receives product samples after their assessment. This allows them to trial what has been recommended before committing. Most providers do not offer this. We do, because a recommendation without testing is not enough.

Our continence assessment service is available across the Northern Territory.

If you have a participant who could benefit from a continence assessment, please get in touch.
